With her captivating voice and richly detailed songwriting, Sarah Jarosz has emerged as one of the most compelling musicians of her generation. A four-time Grammy Award-winner and ten-time nominee at the age of 30, the Texas native started singing as a young girl and became an accomplished multi-instrumentalist by her early teens. After releasing her full-length debut Song Up in Her Head at 18-years-old, she went on to deliver such critically lauded albums as Follow Me Down, Build Me Up From Bones, and Undercurrent, in addition to joining forces with Sara Watkins and Aoife ODonovan to form the acclaimed folk trio Im With Her.

    My Musical Crush

    by LabWreck72 on 5/5/24State Theatre - Portland

Sarah Jarosz is a magnificent performer and triple threat. She can write beautifully. She sings powerfully when she needs to and as soft as an angel to lure you in to the imagery her songs evoke. She can play many instruments well and her mandolin like a virtuoso.

by Framingfan on 5/5/24State Theatre - Portland

Band was tight, exceptional talent on display from all. They were superbly atune to each other and the lead guitarist, epic. Sarah gave all in her 2 hour plus show! We absolutely recommend seeing the show. I'm a HUGE classic rock guy and love many genres of music, from country to classical. Sarah is an absolute delight from writing, to musical and instrumrntal talent. She is poised to go far!

    Sarah is unbelievable!

by Robin on 5/5/24State Theatre - Portland

The State Theatre is a wonderful theater and the pizza was some of the best! Sarah and her band were absolutely incredible and played some of my favorite songs. I brought along my daughter and her partner, both 30, and they had a blast. Le Ren was an amazing opener! Such a great night and such a professional sound from the band- you HAVE to see her live!

    Please read below!

by Hwwoman on 5/5/24State Theatre - Portland

Sarah Jarosz was an outstanding performer. The sound quality was excellent and her band’s musicianship is exceptional. She has a true talent for songwriting and then bringing her compositions to fruition. She’s also very personable and conversational. We saw her perform at the State Theatre in Portland, Maine on May 2. We were lucky to be able to move to vacant seats in the first row of the Lower Balcony just before Sarah Jarosz went on stage. We along with other women in the first row of the Upper Balcony had obstructed views of the stage. We brought this to the attention of the ushers and one of the staff members. There is not enough height difference between the last row of the Lower Balcony and the first row of the Upper Balcony. It’s impossible to see between people’s heads when the seats are filled. This should be clearly stated somewhere. I paid premium prices for these seats well over a month before the concert. Sure, there’s plenty of legroom because there’s an aisle there, but this just doesn’t justify the extreme loss of visibility. Five stars for Sarah Jarosz and her band! The ushers and staff members were all really friendly and helpful as well. The opener band was also very talented. Just be very mindful of what seats you select in the balcony, or you may have a less than optimal experience.

    Great Show

by lthoppy on 3/11/24Bijou Theatre - Knoxville

Sarah's opening act, Liz Longley was good too! Sarah played new music and a few of her older songs. I love the Bijou! It is a unique venue! The icing on the cake was that our very own, Daniel Kimbro played the bass. Sarah has a rich sound. Her genre is folk, roots, Americana and country. Excellent singer-songwriter! Very talented! I never itre of listening to her sing!

    Sonic Perfection!

by wayne on 3/11/24Bijou Theatre - Knoxville

Sarah and the band BROUGHT IT to Knoxville - what a FANTASTIC show! Second time seeing Sarah and her band - quickly remembered why I jumped on pre-sale when I heard that she was touring again...bought 2 extras and took some friends that had never listened to her music before that night...they were BLOWN AWAY! Band was great and the Bijou is such a gem of a theatre - some of my favorite concerts over the years were there (Wallflowers many years ago and The Replacements way waaaaay back!). Will definitely be buying tix next time she is near...betting she jumps to the TN Theatre next time around as Bijou was packed to the gills. Thank you Sarah & band for a wonderful date night!

Sarah's concert was wonderful. I think her Polaroid Lovers project is her best to date, and that is saying a lot. A prolific songwriter and incredible performer.

    Avoid The Depot

by sound on 2/28/24The Depot - Salt Lake City

It will cost you 40 a ticket if you want to sit down. Even before the show. I paid 20 and got a narrow swath to stand in where you can barely see anyway. Sound is mediocre. Floor level is best if you don't mind the deep fryer smell. Eat drink and be merry somewhere else and just stand on floor level if you really want to see something there.

Sarah is Amazing, Venue is not.

by Banjogrll on 2/28/24The Depot - Salt Lake City

I have been to dozens of shows at the Depot since it became a venue, most are standing room only events with lively music in which one expects to stand and/or dance the entire show. Sarah Jarosz is not one of these types of shows. Her music is amazingly beautiful and serene with some high points that will definitely make you want to move your body. Standing on a concrete floor for 3.5 to 4 hours with not even a SINGLE chair available to anyone who doesn't want to pay and extra $40 or MORE to sit on a barstool or have access to limited seating upstairs is absolutely torture to someone in her near-senior years. Perhaps the venue didn't understand the nature of the music? That many of her fans aren't in their 20's and 30's?? Perhaps the person booking the tour didn't know the venue and how difficult it would be for Sarah's fans to have to stand the entire opening act and her show? A seated venue would have been much more pleasurable. I suggest Kingsbury Hall, the State Room or the Commonwealth next time...I recently saw Bela Fleck at the Commonwealth and they provided reserved seating for everyone. It was a great show. Just saying...you could do it at the Depot too...
