  • Best night!!

by Cheri on 6/30/24Bijou Theatre - KnoxvilleRating: 5 out of 5

The Bijou is a great venue for Sierra Hull! Sierra Hull is a force to be reckoned with and could easily sell out much bigger venues, but the music that comes from the stage during one of her shows in a small theatre just makes your heart swell!! I would urge everyone to go see her and her band. (they are all amazing) It was THE best show!

  • Bluegrass excellence

An excellent bluegrass show. Fantastic music and very entertaining. Sierra and her band are top notch and Wyatt Ellis is sure to be a star.

Wasn't real familiar with her music but it is my favorite type of music. I listen to Sarah Jarosz, Nickel Creek and Jason Isbell. Her band was tight and she is multi talented. A new fan!

  • Solid musicians

It is a delight to watch her play. Her band members are also amazing musicians. Exciting to see where to solos would take you.

  • Great show, questionable location

by Sully on 4/25/24Rialto - BozemanRating: 4 out of 5

I enjoy sitting and watching amazing musicians. The rialto in Boz Angeles (Bozo, MT) had a whole floor of standing and a limited balcony with seats. we got lucky to get a seat. Our backs cannot handle standing a long period. There are some great old theaters in Butte and Anaconda that offer great seating. The Butte theater seats 1,200. SEATS... Sierra Hull and her team were incredible.

  • Fabulous

by Mtoutfitter on 4/14/24Rialto - BozemanRating: 5 out of 5

This was one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to and I am 70 and have seen a lot of concerts. The level of musicianship of Sierra is absolutely phenomenal as was the rest of the band. If you have a chance to see her, don’t miss it.

Great concert, opening act was fantastic as well. Being a mandolin player myself, Sierra is amazing, high energy performers. Would definitely see Sierra perform again.

Incredible musicianship and performance. She should be selling out bigger venues. See her while you can. True virtuosic talent!

  • Electric Bluegrass

by SamJ on 10/9/22Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 5 out of 5

Great artist. The band is novel, tight, and fun. Sierra Hull is a mandolin virtuoso and an engaging stage presence. The Birchmere is one of my favorite venues. Great acoustics in any location.

  • Sierra Hull and Lindsay Lou

by Donnie on 10/9/22Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 5 out of 5

I attended the performance of Sierra Hull and her superb band, together with Lindsay Lou at the Birchmere in Alexandria Virginia. I have attended several concerts at that venue during the past 30 years. I must say, this was one of the best! The musicianship was on full display, and the vocals were spot on! It is great to see young artists pay homage to some of the bluegrass greats, while also evolving the music for a new generation. Sierra was even wearing a Tony Rice souvenir T-shirt. Apparently, she opened for him at the Birchmere when she was in her teens. I can certainly see why he would’ve wanted her and his show. She is simply amazing, as were her bandmates.

  • Great Music in a Poor Venue

by Hogg on 10/9/22The Southern Cafe & Music Hall - CharlottesvilleRating: 4 out of 5

The music by Lindsay Lou, Sierra Hull and her band was truly amazing…full of energy, felling and great musical 🎶 skill! The downside was the venue at the Southern, with only about 30 seats for 300 or so patrons, many of them well over 50. Let’s get real Southern, if you want folks to be comfortable while enjoying great music.

  • Stunning performances!

by Lisa on 10/9/22Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 5 out of 5

The Birchmere is THE place to see a concert like this. The skill of the musicians was unbelievable and the Birchmere lets you see it up close and personal! You could tell the artists really enjoyed the venue as well. Sierra Hull is talented beyond description - and her "back up" band was definitely not in the background. Seriously talented musicians shared the stage with her. An amazing evening!

IBMA 2022 Mandolin Player of the Year. Amazing show at The Birchmere. Wonderful human being. Wish she was my sister.

  • Sierra Hull is in her element

by Bluegrass fan on 10/8/22The Southern Cafe & Music Hall - CharlottesvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Sierra entertains as masterfully as she plays and her presence on stage is effortless. I’ve heard her play multiple times, including with Béla Fleck, in the last few years and she’s incredibly comfortable engaging with the audience while nailing every awesome passage in the music. LOVED her boots and the guys she played with. Can’t wait for the next opportunity to watch and hear her play. Kudos Sierra!

  • Amazing performance

  • Overpowering and amazing

by Ken on 10/8/22The Southern Cafe & Music Hall - CharlottesvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Sierra Hull has truly come into her own special territory with her playing, singing and band leadership. It’s hotter than a $2 pistol on a Saturday night—catch her show and get in the groove. She and her band mates truly live on top of the beat and they are fabulous!

  • Sierra Hull at Mercury Lounge: Fantastic!

    by H. W. on 9/25/22Mercury Lounge - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

First of all, Mercury Lounge is a great place to see/hear music. Sierra was particularly animated for this show and, as always, masterful in her playing. She is just so fluid, whether it's slower tunes or really driving ones. Despite a probably grueling touring schedule, Sierra seems genuinely thrilled to be playing and really enjoys interaction with the audience and the band. Every member of the band was impressive. As a saxophone and mandolin player, I love the jazz-like improvisation and interplay between Sierra and her band members whenever I hear her play. Sierra Hull is one of the few artists I would travel to see (along with Chris Thile/Punch Brothers, Watkins Family Hour, Sam Bush) and I will find a way to see/hear her every time she comes to New York.
