  • Loved the event but there's problems.

by Alan on 9/29/24The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway - Las VegasRating: 4 out of 5

We had a great time watching the racing, but there was problems at the venue. There was no garbage cans for the whole center grandstand section. So by the end of the race garbage was everywhere. The speakers for center section didn't work about 1/2 the time. So we didn't know what was going with starting of the races or what was happening on the track where we could not see. Kinda frustrating.

  • Awesome Race

by Shmeg on 9/26/24The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway - Las VegasRating: 3 out of 5

The sound system wasn’t good at all and because it was a world final race they could’ve had a halfway show with maybe a band or a music artist like they do the Super Bowl just a suggestion, but other than that, it was an all-around good show, it wasn’t easy getting out of there when I was over!

  • Mediocre at best due to limited view of the track.

by Marker623 on 9/25/24The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway - Las VegasRating: 3 out of 5

Had reasonably good seats in the reserved side of the grandstands but could only see the front 1/3 or so of the track. Did not have any view of the back motocross section and the “big” screens were not big enough to be able to see the action nor read any of the positions of the riders. I suggest using the center of a NASCAR track vs. a drag strip as then a person could at least see the whole track even though it would be far away. I personally will not attend in person next year if the track design is anything similar.

  • Fun times

by Suzihmkr on 9/25/24The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway - Las VegasRating: 4 out of 5

The seating was tight once everyone filled the stands. The track was so narrow for the riders not allowing for passing. This made for less than exciting races. Fanfest was great. I wish we had been able to go on Friday. Otherwise, we had a great time and would attend again.

  • Sam Boyd was a better venue

by Vegas veteran on 9/25/24The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway - Las VegasRating: 3 out of 5

Too much of the track was hidden behind the stands. Jumbo trons were to small and the cameras couldn't keep up with the leaders. Poor signage for entry and exits lead to frustration by attendees.

  • Dirt Strip

by PJM on 9/24/24The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

Overall good event. Track layout created a big difference between experience and those who are great riders but still working on their skill sets. I’m talking 6 to 8 second gaps from p-1 to p-2 and so on. Kinda made the field spread so much took away the close racing battles. Don’t get me wrong racing was good had a great time was stocked to be in the stands experiencing the crowning of the champions. Still tripping dirt was put down on the Drag strip if you’re into any form of pavement racing that racing surface is sacred but seriously the dirt crew did what they do best and created a motocross track. Plan to be attending next year.

  • Race awesome / Venue not awesome

by Mr. B on 9/24/24The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway - Las VegasRating: 4 out of 5

Racing was great and the track was a really nice setup. Venue was just not up to par . Had to walk up or down 6-7 stories of rickety metal stairs to get to restrooms or food & drink vendors. Aluminum bleachers for seats ( at $250 a ticket !) Getting out of there is also a disaster. Out about 30-40 minutes away from Las Vegas Strip, no taxis out there, only Uber and Lyft . Picture 20,000-30,000 people all having to call Uber or Lyft from way out there. Hours waiting. Not the most well equipped venue for an event like that. People traveling from all over need better facilities and transportation options.

  • Above all expectations

by DYE55 on 9/24/24The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

Coming back to Las Vegas after many years. I knew it was going to be great. As all races in Vegas have been, but this year’s SMX at Las Vegas Motor Speedway tops them all off!

  • Lack of transportation back to the strip.

by Deetch on 9/24/24The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway - Las VegasRating: 3 out of 5

The event itself was really good. Massive confusion to try and organize a ride back to the strip. Paid $36 to Uber to the event…. $210 to get home. Not happy. For that alone I’m not sure we would travel all the way from Canada to go again.

  • Great race, bad venue

by Barb on 9/24/24The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway - Las VegasRating: 2 out of 5

The venue was very disorganized. From waiting in line in the hot sun to get into the place, to paying for platinum seats and having poles blocking your view, and complete chaos at the end with no way for people to get rides back to their hotels. There must have been 4000 people waiting for a taxi or an uber. It was brutal.
