  • Poor Planning and Terrible viewing for fans

by Mike on 9/24/24The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway - Las VegasRating: 2 out of 5

This was a disaster from the start. Making fans walk more than a half mile in high heat, while trying to funnel everyone through one entry point. Finally they realized this was a failure and then let everyone in at once with no security searches. This created a major foot traffic jam. Once you finally got to your expensive seat close to the track you realize you would be better off with a cheap seat far away but high above so you could see more of the race track. The track wasn’t below the seats it was even with them. In our $200 seats we could see approximately 1/10 of the race track, where those way up in the stands could see much more. One the way out they made everyone once again funnel out of one exit. It was ridiculous. Will not be attending unless they change the venue. It was a disappointing expensive trip from Washington state.

  • Overall a great experience

by Allan on 9/24/24The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

Overall the finals was a great experience. I know that timing is on the venues and they're staff as to when things open at stated times. I liked this one for the fact that they had staff scanning the tickets and not just a fixed scanner that you couldn't really see to maybe get any angles you needed for a proper scan this was at a race in LA. But I wish there was still an option to be able to print your ticket or receive tickets in the mail on top of having all the technology to do it with your phones. I see the printed tickets could be an easy solution to avoid any issues with your phone whether there is a connection issue due to service, phone dies due to battery issues, maybe your phone screen is cracked and that might play an issue with being able to scan it properly, as I was told I needed to adjust the brightness on my phone to able to properly scan my ticket. Also saving it to the google wallet thing, seems good but some may not be very technology savvy with having to navigate so many apps versus just scanning a paper ticket and moving on. Also some look at the paper ticket stubs as memories or keepsakes to hold onto like with other sports tickets. Another issue I ran into for this show, was the fact that the app itself went down or just plain wouldn't load past a certain point so I couldn't get my ticket that way, wouldn't be a cause for concern with a paper option, but I logged into the full site and was able to bring up my tickets that way and still got through. I feel each way has its pro's and con's but once again overall it was a great experience and I would totally recommend this event to anyone who is considering going and look forward to what's in store for next year.

  • 1 hour line to get in and two hour line to get out?

by gus on 9/24/24The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway - Las VegasRating: 1 out of 5

You definitely make this one wrong. Facility was dirty and not enough bathrooms. Crowded place and lack of orientation. Food prices are all time high. Never again. Vegas is no more for me. Disappointed.

Our sits were in the shade. That was a plus It was hot Going in one way for fan fest was crazy long lines to get in Getting out of the stadium was one way out also

  • Disappointed

by Dky on 9/24/24The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway - Las VegasRating: 1 out of 5

First couldn’t load to apple wallet. Disabled pass! would appear. Second couldn’t see the backside of track from the expensive reserved seating. Third they closed off entrance and make you walk twice as far to get out. Very poor planning on fan experience. Would give no stars if not for the race itself.

  • Not worth the money!!

by Motoxer101 on 9/24/24The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway - Las VegasRating: 2 out of 5

This event was not worth the money. We could only see half of the track not a single vendor took cash so we were unable to buy water and when exiting the stadium we were forced to exit at the opposite end of the stadium and when you got closed to the parking lot forced everyone back to the other end of the stadium doubling the amount of walking. For those who have walking issues made it extra hard for them. Very disappointing cause I love motocross and flew cross the country just to attend this finally. We won’t be returning to this event.

  • Terrible venue for SMX

by H2O1SNOW2 on 9/24/24The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway - Las VegasRating: 1 out of 5

We paid for “premium” seats and could only see a small fraction of the track. Couldn’t see anything when people were standing along the “rail” in front of us; even though the security folks were trying to keep them away. It took over an hour to get to our car and out of the parking lot. Would have rated zero stars if possible.

  • bad seating

by King Kai on 9/24/24The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway - Las VegasRating: 3 out of 5

The racing was GREAT but the seating setup was horrible! The suites was probably the best seats to watch the race from. Everything wasnt thought through(views from seats)

  • Overpriced seats

by CTCT on 9/24/24The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway - Las VegasRating: 1 out of 5

Wow! Not only was a layout of the track unavailable at the time of ticket purchases, but you couldn’t even see half of the track from the seat. What would have normally been amazing seats in the 8th row of the middle section was terrible. Way over priced for a race that we would only see riders for maybe 5 seconds.

  • Epic

If you like dirtbike racing a must see in person event. Epic event electric energy from the crowd

  • not a good seat in the house

by poisonivey on 9/24/24The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway - Las VegasRating: 2 out of 5

Couldnot see half the track from the last row even. No good seats . Poor design and not worth $180.00 per seat for sure. Traffic ? Uber issues getting out , Long waits and high dollar Ubers . Crazy money.

  • A solid "B"grade.

by Hammer 663 on 9/24/24The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway - Las VegasRating: 4 out of 5

Our first SMX event after years of MX and SX shows. Not bad - we should have come down Friday as we heard that was a really fun day. Otherwise it was pretty much a normal Feld event. We had good seats and the program was well run. Track layout, dirt, and design were good, but the prep before the mains (along with how narrow the track was) really made it a one-line track with few passing opportunities esp 450 moto 2. The venue was decent enough, but ticket and food/drink prices were ridiculously steep. At least parking was no cost, although the site management did a horrible job at getting people out smoothly after the event. We sat in the parking lot for an hour before I even bothered to start the car. I'll continue to do MX and SX but this might be our one-and-only SMX trip.

  • SMX World Finals was fun, exfil not so much

by JinVegas on 9/24/24The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway - Las VegasRating: 3 out of 5

Really excited to have SX back in Las Vegas after 5 year hiatus! Bought tix in April when it was announced. Viewing from the stands of most of infield was pretty good. Would have liked the track designers to put in more passing opportunities. If a rider got a holeshot, they pretty much won the race. I believe those that started in the top 5 finished in the top 5 each moto. Still was entertaining to watch the fastest on the planet do what they do. Exiting the event was a mess. Everyone, naturally, exfils the way they came in, but event staff had closed that down due to bike routing, but no signage or direction for the masses. This meant we walked all the way from the southern end of the stands to the northern end, only to be turned around and sent back to the south. At this point, we were sent out into a empty parking lot lined by chain link and ALL THE GATES WERE CLOSED. Again, no signage or direction. Had to walk all the way up to the northern main entrance and then back down south along the roadway. More backtracking. Would have been very simple to open the fence gates and allow attendees to exit directly into the parking lot, saving the additional quarter mile walk and speeding the process.

  • Amazing experience

Amazing experience! Never disappoints!!! Of course you pay out the butt for ticket master but there is no other choice!

  • good

by rusty on 9/24/24The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway - Las VegasRating: 4 out of 5

The racing was very good . The track was OK ,you could not see the the whole track because of bleachers in the middle, For 220 a seat I think you should be able to see the whole race. After the race only one way out, No place for Taxi pick up, people walking not knowing where to go for a ride. Would I go back? Of course I'm a race fan.

  • Return to Sam Boyd stadium.

by Foxfloat on 9/24/24The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway - Las VegasRating: 2 out of 5

The racing was great but I was not a fan of the venue. They was too large a portion of the track that was not visible. They should return to Sam Boys stadium.

  • Fun event, but bring your wallet

by Aaron.E on 9/24/24The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway - Las VegasRating: 4 out of 5

The racing was amazing! The staff put on an excellent opening ceremonies, pyrotechnics, music, lighting, etc. Such a fun event to watch! That being said, there was excessive price gouging at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. A 24oz domestic beer can was $14; ok, that's not a necessity and can be priced higher. How about water? There was not a single water fountain or spigot available for public water. All fountains were covered in garbage bags. Guests were required to spend $6 on a regular size bottle of water. That's outrageous and unethical. It's Las Vegas in 85+ degree heat and sunshine, there needs to be water available at a reasonable rate to prevent dehydration.

  • Needs major improvement

by Ducboy23 on 9/24/24The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway - Las VegasRating: 3 out of 5

Going to Motorcycle events and races for over the last 50 years. I usually hit the opener for Supercross and a few other races throughout the year, including our local. The event at Las Vegas motor speedway was probably the worst one ever put together. We were in the east grandstands, we could only view about 50% of the track, they ran a good third of it behind the grandstands, which nobody can see, The track to the right and left of us was so far away you could barely see. Entrance into the event was the largest line I have ever seen, from what I understand they started, forgetting about security to get people in which it in itself was not a good idea. This is a facility which holds mini races, and I cannot believe how unorganized everything was. They have no shuttles back to Vegas, which they always have at the other venues and ended up paying and Uber $180 to get back to Vegas. We’ve been gone every year when they had the event at UNLV stadium, it was a much better facility and you can see the whole track. Unless they get it together a lot better for next year myself and the three friends that came with probably won’t be going.

  • Overall a great show

by Mel on 9/24/24The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway - Las VegasRating: 4 out of 5

The show was fantastic with beautiful views of the mountains. Great track and pyrotechnics. Downfall was that they were not stocking the alcohol fast enough and couldn’t supply cold cans of what you wanted. We were also charged premium price for domestic alcohol after not getting what we wanted. It was like a double disappointment.

  • Epic event

by Grif on 9/24/24The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

The event was everything I hoped for it to be. Epic finale to an amazing season. Two opportunities for improvement would be to have the podium where the stands could see it. Second would be to have the security a little better organized with more gates and not shutting down access to the parking lot before the conclusion of the event. A event that starts at 1 and goes till 10, needs to be able to provide an efficient access for pass outs without putting a lackey security guy telling people they can’t go through to the exit. I think this a safety concern on top of the inconvenience of paying customers. Luckily the racing was great!
