Kansas City Chiefs History
The Kansas City Chiefs were founded as the Dallas Texans in 1959 by businessman, sports pioneer and American Football League founder Lamar Hunt. The team moved to Kansas City before the 1963 season and were renamed the Chiefs. The team found success early on, winning three AFL championships in the 1960s to become the team with the most championships in the AFL. In 1970, the club joined the NFL when it merged with the AFL. That year, the team won its first AFL-NFL championship in Super Bowl IV against the Minnesota Vikings, beating them 23-7.
The Chiefs have had 25 individuals inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame and have produced five Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award winners — tied for the most of any team.
Head Coach Andy Reid joined the team in 2013, and under his leadership, the Chiefs have made the playoffs consistently. The club won the AFC West from 2016 to 2024 and clinched championship titles at Super Bowl LIV in 2020, Super Bowl LVII in 2023 and Super Bowl LVIII in 2024.

Kansas City Chiefs at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium
Opened in 1972, GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium has a capacity of 76,416. As one of the first stadiums developed after the AFL merged with the NFL, Arrowhead was a leader in stadium design. It introduced the use of arrows on the yard markers at the goal line (eventually becoming a requirement in the NFL), and was the first to be a part of the two-stadium Truman Sports Complex.
GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium is also known to be one of the loudest stadiums in the league. In 2014, fans set a Guinness World Record for stadium noise, registering a sound of 142.2 decibels during a game against the New England Patriots.

Such a great game, fun time with my family!!!!!!!!
Arrowhead Stadium is surprising old and dated, well below expectations for 2024 football game. Limited score board and limited box scores information provided during game. Video scoreboard on the smaller size. Seat was row 31 above field, everyone stood throughout game, view was generally obstructed throughout game, Cups holders provided on seats were useless, people squeezing by keep knocking out drinks. Atmosphere outside/tail gating/parking was good to excellent.
Loved the stadium, game, staff and services. We tailgated in 12 degrees and had so much fun!! But my only request is take your profit and put a top on that stadium. It was really to dangerously cold for our players and especially the fans who are stationary in their seats. We will go again!
Excellent experience that will always be one of my greatest memories.
I could not find my parking pass on the app and had to buy another ($65) at the gate. You should make the app more friendly!!!
The process of getting into Arrowhead was phenomenal....the air was filled with the smell of bbq and the fans were social, excited and pleasant. The Chiefs won!!!! What a great time!
Was fun but could have more interactive and engaging activities
Attending a Chiefs game at Arrowhead where the Chiefs win due to a last second field goal block was an amazing experience! We travelled from Chicago and this was my son’s 11th birthday gift. He had a blast, the stadium and fans were awesome and we will definitely be back!
Everything worked great! The family member who gifted me the tickets could not find a way to transfer the parking pass, so I ended up having to buy a new one.
Go Chiefs great game and wonderful experience Tickets were exactly as advertised
