  • Not enough to do

    by KS17 on 11/30/21Rialto Square Theatre - JolietRating: 2 out of 5

Overall it was cute but poorly described. The teddy bears the kids were given were dollar store quality. The food was a box lunch, I understand because of Covid but that should have been made known. The price per ticket was high for a half of Turkey sandwich and an uncrustable. Also there was not enough for the kids to do since a full lunch wasn’t served. My daughter kept asking what is next. They have the room, having a movie playing or a craft in addition to the cookie station. Overall it wasn’t what I hoped for

  • Very disappointed :(

For an event called “Teddy Bear Tea Time”, this was a HUGE disappointment :( there was no type of tea party, no tea cups at all! The teddy bears that were given were tiny and cheap. The lunch that was served was a cold lunch box filled with junk. In years past I was told there was a big beautiful buffet. This was very sad and very disappointing.

  • Great Holiday Event

The Teddy Bear tea at the Rialto was a wonderful family holiday event. My granddaughters enjoyed the many activities.

It’s a nice event, however I do have one complaint. I’ve doing this with my granddaughters for a few years and it seems every year they get the cheaper bears while others get nicer and bigger bears. They never complain however they notice that others at the table have bigger and nicer bears. Since we all pay the same admission I feel all bears should be of equal value. I’ve seen little kids disappointed … This year the food was boxed and one sandwich had a completely frozen egg in it. I’m sure we will continue this tradition. I tell that that all bears need a good home so they are happy with what they get. Maybe it’s just me as a grandma wanting them to get what others are getting.
