About

THE AMITY AFFLICTION IN CONCERT:

The Amity Affliction is a hardcore punk collective that’s taking their native Australia by storm with fast-paced music and intense live shows. Whether they’re tearing through the growl-filled track “Pittsburgh” or getting fans to mosh and sing along, the band delivers one energy-fueled performance after another for crowd-surfing fans.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

The Amity Affliction was formed by high school friends Ahren Stringer and Troy Brady in 2003. After playing concerts on campus, they started to take their music more seriously and added two more members – classmates Garth Buchanan and Lachlan Faulkner – to the lineup. The group embarked on a tour to support their 2005 debut EP and began to introduce their music to legions of fans around Australia. They spent the next few years honing their craft and in 2008 they released their full-length debut Severed Ties, which peaked at No. 6 on the Australian Artists Albums chart and launched major tours with the Getaway Plan and Elora Danan. Since then the Amity Affliction has released three more popular albums – including the chart-topping albums Chasing Ghosts (2012) and Let the Ocean Take Me (2014) – played major festivals like Warped Tour, and headlined several dates of their own, at venues like The Fillmore (Philadelphia). On tour the Amity Affliction continues to deliver gripping, revved-up live performances that no fan of punk will want to miss.

I’ve never enjoyed a concert this much

by Joseph on 5/17/24The Ritz - Raleigh

This concert was incredible. The Amity Affliction was one of my favorite bands when I was a teenager. When I was 14, I would watch their concerts on YouTube and basically dream of seeing them live some day. I listened to Let the Ocean Take Me about 3 times a day for about a month straight during a really dark time in my life and the album really helped me feel understood and like I wasn’t the only one. Amity’s performance was pretty emotional for me. To all the guys in The Amity Affliction, thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you guys do for people who truly struggle. Much love!

    Good time

by Amity Fan on 5/17/24The Ritz - Raleigh

The venue was nice and easy to find. Good parking set up. I did not go in the bathroom so no comments there. The VIP looked like a nice setup but didn’t go up there either. The staff were very efficient and mostly friendly. The prices of the refreshments and the VIP upgrade were too high. Amity of course was the best

Don't lean on me- in the pit

by Jason on 5/17/24The Ritz - Raleigh

I saw Amity live for the first time in 2014 and it was the best show I had ever been to back then. The experience in 2024 was 10x better. If a night of music and energy that you will never forget is something your interested in, buy your tix now. You'll be in the middle of a tornado of a moshpit and yet somehow everyone around you feels like family. Amity is the culmination of aggression and good vibes with the cleanest transitions from almost poppy- sounding sing along sections, to the most face-meltingest breakdowns you've ever been caught in. One of my favorite bands since 2012 and they never fail to amaze.

    amazing show

by bee on 5/16/24The Masquerade - Heaven - Atlanta

not my first time seeing them or being at the venue. it was a small venue, so a sold out show being crowded with limited space is not it, but despite that the concert was still amazing!!! they always know how to put one hell of a show

    Must see experience

by PewPewR on 5/11/24House of Blues New Orleans - New Orleans

The concert itself was amazing! I had never heard the opening acts, so I was able to discover new music. Amity sounded super clear and loud! The crowd energy was through the roof. I feel that the band I believe also felt that energy. If TAA is on tour anywhere close to me again, I will 100% go. The venue on the other hand, The House of Blues New Orleans, has to fix their air! Anyone in that building could tell you it was like an OVEN. People having heat cramps, and they even had to hand out waters to everyone.
