BOH put on an outstanding show. The Montgomery Performing Arts Center was terrific, acoustics were perfect

  • What a show!

by Shannon on 12/1/22Antone's Nightclub - AustinRating: 5 out of 5

They sounded great! For being in a little bar the sound was awesome. I just learned about this band approx 6 months ago. Fell in love with the song Hurricane and had to hear more. As soon as I heard they were coming, I bought tickets. Brian the merch guy was fun and enjoyed being with such a great bunch of guys. They played a little something from their albums and saved my favorite for last. I'll definitely be seeing them again. Great job guys! Thank you for the performance.

  • Awesome

Great sound, fantastic harmony, very tight instrumental. Why are they not as big in the music industry is insane.

  • One of The Best Bands Ever

by DentonMD on 11/30/22Antone's Nightclub - AustinRating: 5 out of 5

Their lyrics, harmonies, and melodies are only bested by their performance live. They are incredible in so many ways. Go see them if you get the chance!

  • Wonderful show

by HTP on 4/4/22Duling Hall - JacksonRating: 5 out of 5

Truly one of the best bands out there now, musically tight and so well written. Live performance is strong, varied and so worth the money and time. A group of true musicians who remember what is is to be a fan first and give that experience to the patrons.

  • Band of Heathens: Mercury Lounge 10/10/2015

    by RHGirl57 on 10/16/15Mercury Lounge - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

Out for the fifth night in a row, this time to see Cory Branan as the opening act at Mercury Lounge. Mercury Lounge is one of my favorite venues – intimate and great sound. And Cory Branan is one of the best storytellers you’ll ever hear. He started with one of our favorites, “Prettiest Waitress in Memphis,” and then pointed out a small group from Oslo who came to the US just to see Cory. They had also traveled to London to see him, handed him a set list, and said, “Don’t fuck this up.” They gave him a set list this time, Cory looked at it, and asked them if everything was okay since all the songs were sad songs. He did some songs from the list but he also did songs that he wanted to do – including three new songs, which is always a bonus for the crowd. It was a short set but it included his fast fantastic guitar playing. Country-rock band The Band of Heathens was the main act. They are Ed Jurdi (vocals, guitar, harmonica), Gordy Quist (vocals, guitars, harmonica), Trevor Nealon (keyboards), Richard Milsap (drums), and Scott Davis (electric bass, vocals). They have a very dedicated crowd, who sang along to every song. Minutes after the set was over, the night’s recording was available digitally at the merch table. Kid Rock has recorded their song “Shotgun” and they have since become friends with him. The music was pleasant and harmonies pretty. It was made prettier when The Trishas joined them onstage for two songs.

  • What a great show!

by BrooklynVin on 10/13/15Mercury Lounge - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

First off - the Band of Heathens are a pleasure to see when they make it up to NY! They played all of their songs that I loved from their last tour, plus a bunch of new ones off their new album. Great show - and what a highlight to have the Trishas join them on stage. Beautiful voices and harmonies abounded! Stellar! =) Then - the Mercury - I love that place! It's been there forever and they have held true to what they are - a good old time rock club - bar up front - stage room out back. GREAT STAFF - had the pleasure of meeting some of them after the show and even got to buy some of the band members a drink - because they were hanging out after the show.. And then the kicker - they sold a copy of that show on a USB drive immediately after. I have to say - one of the best concert experiences I've had in quite some time. Great job by everyone involved all around!

  • The Band of Heathens - One of Austin's BEST!!

    by Drftr09 on 10/13/15Mercury Lounge - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

The Mercury Lounge is one of NYC'S great dive bars to see a live show and The Band of Heathens delivered. From the first song to the last they showed the audience they were there to play. Ed Judi and Gordy Quist traded guitar licks throughout the show with ease and comfort demonstrating how a road seasoned band is supposed to do it. If you like sitting around your living room listening to BOH, then get out and catch this band live, you'll love them even more. If I had to pick any songs that stand out, "Medicine Man" and "Hurricane" were my favorites of the night.

  • The heathens rocked the house!

by BrooklynVin on 10/4/13Mercury Lounge - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

The show was excellent - what more can I say. I personally like the Mercury lounge - it's gritty, dive-y but an awesome place to get real close to the band that's playing. The Band of Heathens fit right into this atmosphere. I was standing less than 10 feet from the band. Their music was tight, and they even played one of my favs - Medicine Man that they had not played at their previous few sets... A few band members were even drinking at the bar before and after the show making this show and the venue one of my favorites! Great job Mercury and Great job Heathens! Can't wait until they come around again!

  • Band of Heathens excellent as usual.

by Gove on 4/12/13Mercury Lounge - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

BoH was excellent the other night in NYC The only downside was that they were only able to play for about an hour and fifteen minutes(they had to clear out because another band was going on at 9:30). That's pretty early to end up in NYC, and for a BoH fan, a bit disappointing. Set was good, but of course, I was unable to hear all the good tunes because of time constraints. They played three or so new songs, which makes me excited for their new album in fall. BoH is always great to see. I just wish they came across the East Coast more often.
