About

Known for their dazzling musicianship, fierce energy and spectacular live performances, the Dillinger Escape Plan formed in North New Jersey in 1997. A fusion of hardcore, metal and jazz, the group's music first won the attention of fans and critics with a three-song EP, Under the Running Board. The band's full-length debut, Calculating Infinity, followed in 1999--a musically intense, genre-defying album that earned the group a devoted following. Catching the attention of singer Mike Patton, the Dillinger Escape Plan soon opened for Patton's band Mr. Bungle on a U.S. tour and released an EP of material with guest vocals by Patton entitled Irony is a Dead Scene. After extensive touring in Europe and the U.S., the group returned to the studio with a new lead singer, issuing Miss Machine, featuring the tracks "Panasonic Youth" and "Unretrofied," to rave reviews in 2004. A busy touring schedule followed, including appearances on the Vans Warped Tour as well as headlining tours in both 2004 and fall 2005.

  • Explosive energy

by John L on 8/28/24The Salt Shed Outdoors (Fairgrounds) - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

It was so sick seeing DEP at the Salt Shed. My second time at the venue, and first time seeing DEP. Calculating Infinity was one of the defining albums of metalcore, so to hear it live with their original vocalist Dimitri was unforgettable. Thank you Ben, Liam, Dimitri, and Billy for getting back together for this tour. Also just want to give out a shout out to Trash Talk. You guys killed it!

  • Trash talk Dillinger

by Animal on 8/27/24The Salt Shed Outdoors (Fairgrounds) - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Dreams were made. Trash talk destroyed. Local up and coming artist were featured. Super chief 3 was the calm before the storm. When Dillinger hit everyone calculated infinity.

  • the Salt Shed kept us updated on changes

by Progmetal on 8/27/24The Salt Shed Outdoors (Fairgrounds) - ChicagoRating: 4 out of 5

The Salt Shed is a cool new venue that I’d visit again. They oddly made the show indoors instead of outdoor and then changed the start time from 7;30 to 3pm doors. Besides that there were no probs. Really clean, beer was reasonably priced, vape friendly,

  • TDEP live legends

    by Dillinger#1 on 7/10/24Brooklyn Paramount - BrooklynRating: 5 out of 5

After experiencing the first 2 nights of the Calculating Infinity 25th anniversary shows at Brooklyn Paramount i can honestly say that The Dillinger Escape Plan put on one of the best shows of the bands career. Go see them at the Salt Shed in Chicago in August you wont be disappointed

  • Didn't miss a beat

by Zamir on 6/26/24Brooklyn Paramount - BrooklynRating: 5 out of 5

I was the last ever DEP show at Terminal 5 with Greg and now I was the first one back with Dimitri. And it was quite the experience having 7 year gap of them gone, and then come back as many of the original as possible and still deliver a great show, look it hasn't been 25 years.

  • Venue forced a high price for resale

by Mondo Dondo on 6/25/24Brooklyn Paramount - BrooklynRating: 1 out of 5

I couldn't make the show and the venue forced a high resale price well above the ticket price and my ticket didn't sell. Beware buying from this venue.

  • Amazing Show!

    by JB96 on 6/25/24Brooklyn Paramount - BrooklynRating: 5 out of 5

If you haven't seen Dillinger you must next time they play a show. Top notch musicianship, stage presence, and attack. All of the openers killed it. Hopefully there are more shows in the future because this band is one of a kind, and legends within the mathcore community. I will travel to the next show(s) if they ever happen.

  • Poor Sound, Nice Venue

    by Concert Go'r on 6/25/24Brooklyn Paramount - BrooklynRating: 3 out of 5

Sound for the opening acts which were promoted at special guests was bad. Venue was beautiful and accommodating.
