The Furious Bongos Tickets

The Furious Bongos were AWESOME! Big bonus for me was getting to hear Chad Wackerman on drums. He performs with FBs on occasions, but is not their usual drummer, at least as I understand it. With Scott Thunes on bass, he and Wackerman were the foundation of the rhythm section for what Zappa called “The Best Band You Never Heard In Your Life”, the 1988 touring ensemble, which disbanded due to internal discord. Zappa called them, however bad their internal discord, “The Best Band You Never Heard…” for a reason. Too bad they couldn’t have lasted eternally (perhaps they do?) and become “The Best Band Everyone Heard Is In Their Life”!!! Earth would be on a much better place with more music. Music should be declared the Universal Language! And The Furious Bongos speak it with eloquence!!!

Great musicianship performing the notoriously difficult Zappa scores. A joy to watch! And listen!

The Furious Bongos never disappoint- great people who happen to be fantastic musicians, they show their love of Zappa and performance. This is not my first time to see them and I hope to see them again soon. The Ludlow Garage in Cincinnati is a fun venue with a ton of music history. I just wish I didn’t have to use Ticketmaster to buy my tickets.

The band was tight and very skilled - totally worth my 500 mile round trip on my motorcycle to see, in November in Wisconsin!
