    Enjoyable Evening

by Girlfriend on 5/3/24Fox Cities PAC - Appleton

The film was splendid even though there were a few glitches along the way. The story is timeless. I wish there had been a few additional questions answered by Mr. Else’s. His book is absolutely fascinating and there were so many special moments during filming.

Absolutely had a great time! was so cool watching the movie then listening to Carey Elwes talk about things that happened behind the scenes and about his fellow costars of the movie.

    Lackluster

by MAS on 5/1/24Fox Cities PAC - Appleton

The technical glitches really disrupted the flow of the event. Cary had great anecdotes, but my friend said she had read them all in his book. I had fun with my friends but would hesitate doing a similar show based on this experience. Thanks for asking.

    Fun with a few Quirks

by Mullins on 5/1/24Fox Cities PAC - Appleton

The event itself was fun. I enjoyed watching the film before Carey came out for the interview. However I’m not sure if the crew did a full test run on the film as is got stuck a couple of times and they had to restart it.

An Inconceivable Evening w/ Cary Elwes The Princess Bride

by Madfor2 on 5/1/24Fox Cities PAC - Appleton

We saw this at the Appleton WI PAC. After watching the movie - a few glitches - Cary came on stage and talked for an hour. He told a couple stories and answered some audience questions. The audience was energetic, laughing through the small movie problems and reciting the ministers lines during the marriage. Fun stuff! If you are a fan, it's a must!

    A fun evening

by Tammi on 5/1/24Fox Cities PAC - Appleton

It was a fun laid back evening full of technical mishaps which lightened the mood and changed the air in the room. Everyone laughed at discovering the primitiveness and the audience was eager to assist the “technical crew” (😂) getting things back on track. The assistance was a big part of the fun. This film is such a classic, just like its many actors. I loved the endearing stories that depicted the playfulness of our big galoot iconic entertainer we know as Andre the Giant. Other behind the scenes stories of insight will change the way I watch The Princess Bride forever.

    Shorter than expected

by AJ on 5/1/24Fox Cities PAC - Appleton

Sad the question and answer portion was so brief. Hard to believe Cary Elwes would travel so far for just that. The movie was glitchy and stopped a few times, kinda disappointing.

    It was great!

by Tia on 5/1/24Fox Cities PAC - Appleton

This was a great evening. The movie never disappoints. Cary Elwes was more than wonderful. He was exceptional. His stories were so entertaining and he is a master storyteller. He seems like a very nice man. THE TECHNICAL ISSUES WITH THE FILM PRESENTATION WERE INCONCEIVABLE! Use this review as you wish.

    Good but short

by MN on 5/1/24Fox Cities PAC - Appleton

Of course the movie was great. I wish there would’ve been just a little bit more of the Q&A session. It seemed like they could've asked a few more questions.

Technical issues interrupted our fun evening out

by CY on 5/1/24Fox Cities PAC - Appleton

Not much to report on the film itself, clearly it is a classic that speaks for itself! A timeless, romantic comedy for all generations :) Carey Elwes' 60 min Q&A was also enjoyable, filled with behind the scenes stories and anecdotes. The only disappointing part was all the technical glitches. The film was projected on a screen via DVD, and started glitching at the Fire Swamp scenes. Once they got that rectified, toward the end of the film some other mechanical issue occurred turning the scenes "blue".... Eventually that was corrected as well, but both episodes interrupted the flow and was disappointing.
