  • The one and only TSM!

    by dcash1996 on 10/2/24Saint Andrew's Hall - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

Never sleep on a chance to catch The Suicide Machines. Outstanding punk/ska, been enjoying their live shows since the 90s. Hey Smith was new to me, but was a super tight gang of talented musicians. Highly recommend. Kill Licoln of course doing what they do best, energetic live shows that pack a sweet punch. Make sure you check out Bad Time Records while you’re there. A first time seeing Bad Operation live. Another great band, fantastic vocals. I look forward to catching them again. And if you’re in Detroit and have never been to St Andy’s it’s not too late. This venue is nicer every time I visit. Might be the older man in me but it’s nice to not have to deal with a bathroom that’s been pissed all over. A lot of great memories in this building, and it’s super clean and just the right size.

  • Amazing night!

Getting to see 5 hrs of ska including Bad Operation, Kill Lincoln, Hey-Smith, Bud D and the kids Table, the Planet Smashers, and the Suicide Machines in a venue like the TLA was simply amazing!

Fun show. Big lineup. Only downside was it started so early. 6:30. That’s super early for grown ups

  • Not a bad show

The Suicide Machines were a standout performance of this night. I appreciate their passion and energy, and the fact that they have a good message in most of their songs, such as Black and White World. Having seen the Planet Smashers and Big D and the Kids Table also previously, I thought those two bands' performances were not as good as before. I was pleasantly surprised by the performance of Hey Smith, a Japanese band who had a very positive energy and stage presence. I am partial to Japanese bands, however. I recommend going to see the Suicide Machines because they are committed to important issues and I think they mean what they say, while being a musically diverse band.

They killllled the show. They sounded great, they were so engaged with the crowd. The energy was fantastic. They were my first concert 20 years ago, and it was everything I hoped for.

What an epic freaking show. Couldn't have asked for a better lineup. Reserved parking when I bought the ticket, but there was no info or lot provided. It's paid off in the past, but not this time 🤷
