About

V-U2 An Immersive Concert Film is a one-of-a-kind cinematic experience shown exclusively at Sphere. The concert film, directed by Morleigh Steinberg and The Edge, showcases the history-making and future-defining U2:UV show that played to over 700,000 fans from 100+ countries across 40 sold-out dates from September 2023 through March 2024. V-U2 does not just capture U2’s epic run at Sphere, it allows audiences to feel like they are at the live shows.

V-U2 is the first film ever to be shot entirely with Big Sky, the groundbreaking ultra-high-resolution camera system developed by Sphere Entertainment. To create this larger-than-life concert film, a number of Big Sky cameras captured the band at extraordinary scale, sharpness, and clarity. V-U2 employs Sphere’s immersive technologies including the 160,000 sq. ft. display plane, which at 16k x 16k resolution is the world's highest-resolution LED screen; Sphere Immersive Sound, powered by HOLOPLOT, which provides crystal-clear sound to every seat in Sphere; and haptic seats, which use vibrations so guests can ‘feel’ the experience. All of these technologies will be leveraged in V-U2 in new and different ways to reinforce the feeling of being there.

  • U2 is (not) there

by LMC on 4/6/25Sphere - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

I had missed the real show and thought I could never experience U2 at The Sphere… until V-U2 came along. While it may not be better than the real thing, this concert movie is a must for any real U2 fan.

  • Good show

by Rey on 4/6/25Sphere - Las VegasRating: 3 out of 5

The show was pretty good and the video was great. But I was disappointed with the seats. Have seen better seats in an ordinary movie theater. It was good that the show was not very long; otherwise I might end up with a sore bottom and back.

  • A wonderful sport bar with new immersive experience

by Karl on 4/6/25Sphere - Las VegasRating: 4 out of 5

A creative spot and special designed dome theatre making you feel sitting in the first row of the stadium. Very new and good service in F&B. Nice view from top roof balcony. The only problem is the location - the Hollywood Park does have any retails except a Cineplex and a gym (blaming the landlord not Cosm). Wish them have better business soon.

  • Outstanding experience

by Michael on 4/5/25Sphere - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

We attended the U2-Virtual concert. If I didn't know better, I would have thought I was seeing U2 in person. The virtual presentation with the additional graphics was mind blowing. If you ever have a chance to see a virtual concert at the Sphere you must do it. There is no better concert experience.

  • U2 concert film - horrible sound!

by Skaggs on 4/5/25Sphere - Las VegasRating: 1 out of 5

The sound was horrible and was crackling the whole time. No bass. Please do better.

  • Absolutely Amazing

by Vexen on 4/3/25Sphere - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

This show has to be seen to be believed. The show was amazing from beginning to end. For starters, if you did not know that it was a recording, you would swear U2 was on stage live. After that, no one puts on a show like U2. Some songs were a sensory overload while others were contemplative with a simpler background. All of it was beautiful and was an experience I throughly enjoyed. The Sphere is an absolute must if you are in Las Vegas.

  • Fantastic

by DonnaD on 4/3/25Sphere - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

This was a very memorable evening. I could not believe the immense design and creativity of the show. It was hard to believe that U2 wasn’t actually in front of me. I am so glad I purchased my ticket. Worth every penny.

  • Like being there

by arpipa on 4/3/25Sphere - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

The high resolution presentation was like being there. Very well done technically and artistically. Plenty off Sphere staff on hand to make navigation easy. Definitely a must-see in Vegas.

  • Highly recommend - great experience

    by Kevin S on 4/3/25Sphere - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

Absolutely amazing experience. The venue and U2 show were incredible. I balked at the price prior to the event but walked out completely satisfied at the expense. The Sphere staff was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend attending this event.

  • Very cool U2 live concert

by AD on 3/29/25Sphere - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

The location the sphere is very modern design, and impressive. The U2 concert was wonderful, music and lightshow were impressive and gorgeous. If you are into U2 you must go!!!

  • Great experience

by Tara on 3/28/25Sphere - Las VegasRating: 4 out of 5

The show was incredible. Felt like we were at a U2 concert. Light show was amazing. Cons: unfortunately we had someone behind us that left there seat 3 or 4 time disrupting everyone around. Our section seemed not to to be fully engaged into the experience and was just watching a movie while other sections of the audience would sing along and make like you were at the actual concert.

  • Far too short

by Georgina on 3/27/25Sphere - Las VegasRating: 3 out of 5

Biggest issue was, I was fully expecting to see the full u2 concert and I didn’t. It was cut far too short and for $100 per ticket to watch a movie I expected the full show. Next problem was the movie and the music were a couple of seconds apart. Bono’s mouth wasn’t moving and the song was playing, so there was a sound delay which was disappointing. On the positive side, the place is great, futuristic and I did feel like they were actually performing on stage in front of me, the graphics were outstanding and I was left wanting more, but I’d only return to watch a live show as the issues above put me off.

  • Totally worth the cost

by MarkG on 3/24/25Sphere - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

I've been to five U2 concerts in my lifetime going back to the 90's. Without a doubt my favorite live band so I was quite bummed I missed out on all their shows in the Sphere. But I was thrilled to find out the Immersive movie was playing while in Vegas last week. It took some of the pain away from missing their live show last year. I was floored by the technology and how it made it look like they were performing live (didn't look like a movie). If I were to have one complaint, it was too short. I get it that they don't want to make the movie as long as an actual show but it went by too quickly. I was really hoping to see/hear "Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses"and other songs from Achtung Baby that were performed in their setlist from the live shows. 70 minutes felt like 15. Aside from that, cannot recommend it highly enough. It's worth the price.

  • Great

  • Full Ticket for Kids age 2

by Vignesh Appar on 3/19/25Sphere - Las VegasRating: 2 out of 5

Experience of the Sphere is amazing and we all really enjoyed. But, it's not fair to pay for the tickets of kids (especially under 2-3). Since they don't get it completely and gets distracted easily.. my kid who is 2, slept after first 15 mins, since the show started around 8, box office ppl said even for infants they charge full ticket price. Seems unfair!
