  • Jack Hues changed

by FaithfulEightiesFan on 2/11/25Rating: 2 out of 5

I love Wang Chung, and my favorite was Jack Hues until he got married. He changed drastically, and he doesn’t look, or act his age anymore. I went to a concert a couple of months ago, and it was kind of boring. Not as good as it was, before he met his wife. I miss the Wang Chung a couple of years ago, and before. Please come back??? We miss the old Jack Hues!!!

  • Wang Chung Rocks!

by MusicMaven on 6/1/24Rating: 5 out of 5

Wang Chung is one of the 80's bands whose music is still wearing well. I remember hearing Points on the Curve and my thoughts shifting to what music composition can be. They were original creators that had only a few albums, but those albums were solid and highly creative. All of the music they have put out still sounds timeless. Their tunes can fit in any decade. If you get to see this band you will not be disappointed, musically. However, if you're seeing them as part of the Abducted by the 80's multi band show, you should expect that they will do a shorter setlist. But when you hear the hits, it will definitely take you back to a great (better) time in music and the world in general. My hope is that one day they will be able to come to the US and carry shows as the headline without 3-4 other bands opening for them. Playing more songs in their catalogue would be a thrill.

  • Amazing!

by Taylor on 3/4/20Rating: 5 out of 5

Saw them at lost 80s live in vancouver BC and they were amazing!! I really hope they come back. Had such a fun time dancing along with friends.

  • Bands played way too short a set

by Rob on 2/17/20Thunder Valley Casino Resort - LincolnRating: 1 out of 5

Big Countey only played 35 minutes and Wang Chung only played 45 minutes. The band performances themselves were good, but way, way too short. The ticket prices were wat too expensive for these short sets. I will not return, but rather see these bands somewhere else where they will perform a regular length set, or will see them at a festival.

  • Sounds awesome, despite all those years.

by ELQUESO on 10/19/15House of Blues Anaheim - AnaheimRating: 5 out of 5

Every band that was there put on an awesome performance. Would've been nice if all performers got to play more than just one song, but would LOVE to see it again next year.

  • Intimate,slick & unforgetable!

    by Palais84 on 8/2/15The Canyon - Agoura HillsRating: 5 out of 5

Wang Chung still have it. Jack Hughes & Nick Feldman delivered a slick & fresh sounding set of both 80s, 90s & 00s songs to an adoring intimate audience. Let's Go, Die in LA & Wait all delivered as if still in their heyday. Dance Hall Days & Everybody Have Fun finished their set to the crowd that even included ageing movies stars. An encore was a Beatles number but they could've played a Take That song & they would have be forgiven! An Unforgettable Gig at The Canyon

  • The Fixx is AMAZING (but I hated the smokers!)

    by Livemusiclovr on 8/2/13Potawatomi Casino/Northern Lights Theater/Expo Center - MilwaukeeRating: 4 out of 5

I liked The Fixx in the 80s but was never really a big fan. This show changed that. They are awesome! Their music spans 3 decades and has many styles - many tunes had hints of David Bowie, Roxy Music, or Bauhaus - and ALL of it is good. I went out after the show and tracked down the albums I didn't have yet. Cy's theatrical presence is larger than life. I was a little sad that they didn't play "Are We Ourselves"... but everything else was amazing. Potowatomi Casino is a smokers paradise. To get to the theater or to use the restrooms you have to negotiate hoards of smokers on the casino floor. I got a sore throat immediately, then a headache, and came home REEKING of stale smoke. Will NEVER see a show at the Casino again.

  • Wang Chung is still amazing,

    by MilwaukeeGreg on 8/2/13Potawatomi Casino/Northern Lights Theater/Expo Center - MilwaukeeRating: 4 out of 5

I loved Wang Chung and they met their fans afterwards. They were great and sang and danced to all of the hits. The Fixx was a little boring. They think they are bigger than they are. Very little interaction with audience.

  • Wang Chung and The Fixx both put on a great show.

    by Hank698 on 8/2/13Potawatomi Casino/Northern Lights Theater/Expo Center - MilwaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

Wang Chung just simply walked onto the stage, chatted a bit and then blew us away for 45 minutes with both old and new songs. They were incredible and wish they would have played longer (I believe they wanted to play longer as well) The Fixx came on about 9:00 and played for just about two hours. Again a mix of old and new songs. They were awesome as well. Great Music by Great Musicians and the kicker...seats were only $10.00.

  • This show was so much fun!!!

by VickiRedGuitarGirl on 7/25/13Resorts Casino Hotel - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

The venue was intimate, and the band had a real connection with their fans. Communicating with humor and changing the set list spontaneously based on fans' feedback, Wang Chung showed real class and energy on stage. They were constantly engaging the audience and encouraging them to leave their seats behind to get up and dance, which they did with great enthusiasm. My only complaint is that the show should have gone on longer. This stop on their tour (Atlantic City) also featured Naked Eyes on the bill. They were the opening band and showed just as much enthusiasm, humor, and responsiveness to the fans as the "Chungers" did. Front man, Pete Byrne going to far as to invite an eager fan to sing and dance with him on stage. It was an absolutely great evening and an unforgettable celebration of the 80's. There were new songs played as well, showing that these bands are alive and well and bursting with creative energy. This show is a must-see.
