The Weird Al concert was one of the best concerts you could go to for humor.
This was my third time seeing Weird Al Yankovic in concert. This one did not dissappoint. Loads of fun, and lots of laughs, his shows are always amazing. I have been a fan since I was a child, and WEIRD AL ROCKS!!!
Weird Al was, as usual, amazing! He and his band are extremely talented and so much fun to watch and listen to. I was somewhat disappointed with the sound quality of the venue. The background effects and music were loud, sometimes too loud. Also Weird Al's microphone seemed to cut out during a few of the songs. The lighting could also have used some improvement. There were quite a few times during the concert that the lights blinded the audience because of their positioning.
Absolutely amazing show! Al gave a packed Sovereign Center two and a half hours of high energy, classic music; complete with video montages, costume changes and audience participation.
I was very impressed with Al's show lasting nearly 2 hours and 25 minutes. It was non stop action from the moment he walked on stage. His Al TV interviews with other Star Celebrities was enjoyable while he made costume changes. It was a great variety of musical selections as he performed songs from his new CD as well as most your all time favorites "Smells Like Narvana" including cheerleaders on stage, "Eat It", "Fat" and "Amish Paradise". He was very interactive with the crowd as he walked off stage and into the crowd even climbing on top of a few lucky fans. Would I recommend his show and would I see it again, "YES!" Summing it up in short, He's White & Nerdy, but the fans love him, He's Weird Al...
Had a great time with my 13 year old son!! The performing arts center is a great place to see a concert. I just didn't understand the drunk guy behind me yelling "weasel stompin time"???
I had my doubts about taking my nephew to a full concert of nothing but parodies, but those doubts quickly faded in the presence of such a creative performer backed by equally skilled musicians! This show is a mix of great music, familiar parody, and keen-witted humor that has the audience laughing, singing, and cheering from start to finish. The show offers a perfect blend of full-performance classics, well-orchestrated medleys of older parodies, and plenty of new material. To keep the audience in stitches between costume changes--which are many--the show uses hilarious excerpts from classic Weird Al TV. Don't miss this show!
The show was really well attended. Fun was had by one and all. The first opening act was Tonic-Solfa. These guys really livened the crowd before "Weird Al" came to the stage. It was a good pairing. I thought it was really good how the "Weird Al" show had good length and sound quality was excellent. The event concluded with fireworks. Couldn't have been a much better Minnesota State Fair performance by someone so unique as "Weird Al" if I had to do it again, I would bring my family and friends.
I love Weird Al's humor but I was blown away by his show. Most bands can do one style well. Weird Al's band does every style imaginable well! Weird Al is multi talented and so are his musicians. Fantastic show! Well done, entertaining and funny as can be! I would suggest this show to anyone! I love ya' man! :-)
