ZZ Top Concert Schedule

ZZ Top is a legendary American rock band known for their blues-infused rock music, bawdy lyrics and long, red beards. ZZ Top tours include the 2017 Tonnage Tour, 2016 Hell Raisers Tour, and the 2013 La Futura Tour. ZZ Top live shows leave the audience laughing dancing and feeling like they are at a jam session with close friends, instead of a concert headlined by rock and roll legends. Their massive success has allowed all of their albums to reach gold or platinum status. The band's best selling album is 1983's Eliminator, which spawned the hit singles "Legs" and "Sharped Dress Man." The album went on to sell 10 million units, reaching diamond status and the 25 million records they've sold in the U.S. makes them one of the top 100 selling artists in the country. ZZ Top has sold more than 50 million albums worldwide, and they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame in 2004.

ZZ Top Background

ZZ Top formed in 1969 in Houston Texas with guitarist and lead vocalist Billy Gibbon, organist Lanier Greig and drummer Dan Mitchell. The name of the band came from Gibbons combining the names of B.B. King and Z.Z. Hill, when he noticed that many artists used their initials as their band's name. When ZZ King seemed too close to the originals he changed it to ZZ Top. The current lineup of the band consists of bassist and lead vocalist Dusty Hill, Billy Gibbon and drummer Frank Beard. ZZ Top's signature sound can best be described as blues-infused rock with elements of punk rock and new wave added through their use synthesizers. While Eliminator was the band's most successful album with 10 million albums sold, 1985's Afterburner was their highest charting album. All the singles from Afterburner were Top 40 hits and the album itself went on to sell five million copies. Other Top 40 singles include 1975's "Tush," 1977's "I Thank You," and 1981's "Gimme All Your Lovin'"Follow ZZ Top on social media: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Facebook.

  • Short concert whole thing lasted 2 hrs

by Kygirl on 4/14/25The Andrew J Brady Music Center - CincinnatiRating: 3 out of 5

Show started at 730 with a band opening played maybe 20 mins then they came out and the whole thing was over by 930. It was my first concert I wish they would've played more it was short kinda disappointing really 😕

  • It could have been great!

by Dale_z28 on 4/13/25Brown County Music Center - NashvilleRating: 2 out of 5

I've never been to a concert (I'm 67, btw) where ONE person blocked my view THE ENTIRE TIME!!! A woman 2 rows in front of me stood and danced the whole show. And she was perfectly situated so that I COULD NOT SEE either Billy Gibbons or Elwood Francis! If I knew her I would sue to get my $150 ticket cost back. I even took cellphone video to prove it. The ushers made me stop, I guess the light on my phone annoyed them (since everyone else was facing forward toward the stage and only the ushers were looking back into the crowd). I complained to him about the woman, but he just shrugged as if he couldn't do anything about it. Of course, the music was great, and I enjoyed the guitar changes (the only part I was able to see), and we sung along to all of their hits.

  • Lack of visual show

by Lp on 4/11/25The Andrew J Brady Music Center - CincinnatiRating: 3 out of 5

The band sounded good, played all of their hits, but would have liked a more visual show. I would have liked to have seen clips from their videos, to enhance their songs.

Parking was a bit of a problem with the flood going on but we managed. Our seats were great in balcony 2. The sound in this venue was incredible!! Overall it was a great show!! I do wish Frank Beard would have been playing drums and of course we all missed Dusty. May he RIP❤️It was our first time an this venue and would definitely go again 😊

  • ZZ Top at Andrew J Brady Center

by Kimmie on 4/11/25The Andrew J Brady Music Center - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

Great show and venue!! Why the drummer was in the dark the whole time is puzzling!!

  • The band was great!

by Scooby on 4/11/25The Andrew J Brady Music Center - CincinnatiRating: 4 out of 5

ZZ Top was great! It was my first time seeing them and they did not disappoint. My friend and I also enjoyed McKinley James very much. We were the only patrons standing to watch them so we saw every bit of their performance. While the venue was clean and the staff was very friendly, it was not the best set up for a concert. There were no monitors so people in the back (or had seats behind several tall people) could actually see and the platform the band was on was not high enough. Us short people in the back were not able to see most of the concert.

Third time attending a ZZ Top Concert. 1982, Hara Arena, 1986 Rapid City, SD and now the Brady Center. Thier style is unique and unmatched! Love thier energy!

  • Unenthusiastic

Highly disappointed in the lack of passion on stage. No attempt to draw in the audience. Not much of a show; just two on guitar and one in the dark going through the motions.
