DJ’s energy was amazing, she got people included up on stage, everyone I saw in the crowd seemed to have a ‘that’s my song,’ moment, and it was overall pretty satisfactory. My issue isn’t with the atmosphere, but the music itself. Pretty much every song that was played was just straight pop, hip hop, or rap. While those genres were definitely prevalent during the 2000s, other genres existed, and were completely ignored. I myself would have loved to hear some old school EDM or techno that was trending at that time, and the friends I came with were hoping to hear some metal, or something a little heavier that was popular in the ‘scene,’ during the 2000s. Besides that, had a good time, it was crowded, but that was to be expected from the size of the venue.
