Great show! Had not been to this theater in years.

by LetThereBeRock!!! on 5/16/24Palladium Times Square - New York City

It has been years since the last time I came to this theater. I have been here many times before. It has changed names 4 times (Nokia, Playstation, BestBuy) and now Palladium Times Square. I like the new name since it ties in with the original Palladium in the city from years ago. Night Demon came on right at 8. They played classic heavy metal for 30-40 minutes. The band sounded great. The fans enjoyed their show. Blind Guardian came on around 9:10. I had not seen them live in the city in 9 years. They opened with Imaginations from the Other Side. They played 3 or 4 songs from their new album (Secrets of the American Gods, Violet Shadows, Blood of the Elves). The band looked and sounded great. I was concerned how they would perform because this was their 3rd consecutive show. They looked well rested. At 10:20, Hansi said they would be finishing soon. I was saying to myself, too early. They can play until at least 10:45-11. They had one encore. After they came out they played another 3 or 4 songs before ending the show. I enjoyed the show! The merchandise line was very long when I got there around 6:30. There was only one person at the table selling shirts. I was expecting at least two. The merch line was staggered and split into 2. It didn't take as long as I thought it would. They sold 3 short sleeve shirts and one long sleeve hooded jacket. $40 for the shirts, $60 for the jacket. They were also selling patches. Beer prices were steep but its the city. It cost me $13.xx for a Stella they poured in a cup. I had a seat in the back left corner. It was very comfortable. There was air conditioning. I was planning to stand closer to the stage when Blind Guardian performed but I was too comfortable to get up. The seats are cushioned and have cup holders. I could see and hear them fine from where I was sitting. There were a lot of other people sitting in front of me. BTW, I found a great pizzeria on 8th avenue between 42nd and 43rd street called Little Italy Pizza. Their signature crispy textured crust is awesome! I highly recommend it.

    Fantastic concert

by Leorodri on 5/15/24Palladium Times Square - New York City

The band is amazing. They are still an outstanding band that can deliver high quality heavy metal! The venue helped a lot as the sound was crystal clear - as long as you standing (not very nice at the mezzanine as it is too low). I will definitely attend their next concert in NY/NJ

    Blind are awesome, sound wasn't.

by Mitrandir on 5/13/24L'Olympia - Montreal

Blind Guardian were awesome as ever, but the sound in the theater was awful, kinda like the speakers were at their max and it was cringing. Had to put airplugs to stand it, and this was a first.

    Most generous band

by Marguerite on 5/13/24L'Olympia - Montreal

Incredible show, best band ever. I’ce loved them for years and still can’t believe how genuine they are on stage. Wonderful showmanship on all parts, lots of interractions with the crowd. Blind Guardian are by far one of my favourite band and I would come back every night if I could.

    Great Time

by ArFP on 5/11/24Varsity Theater - Minneapolis

Used fast pass to get in, even w/o, was a good idea. Got in quick, great security at venue and The bar was ready to serve, able to get near front of stage and opening act Night Demon got the night rocking, three dudes making some great metal and the drummer was nailing it. Blind Guardian hit the stage quick after a brief intermission and did not disappoint. Great crowd and the band did a great job working the crowd, lots of headbangers and an eclectic mix. Ticket process was seamless and varsity did a great job with the venue.

    Blind Guardian Concert \m/

by Tyrano on 5/10/24Summit - Denver

The concert was excellent. The opening band, Night Demon, was good and had a very enjoyable stage show. The show was on May the 4th, so they added some Star Wars flair to their set and equipped a grim reaper with a Kylo Ren lightsaber. This was my third time seeing Blind Guardian, not including Demons & Wizards, and they were amazing as usual. I brought along a first timer and they are now a big fan. They really enjoyed how Hansi finds a way to work each song title introduction into his seemingly unrelated banter in-between songs.

    Security really cared

by Richard on 5/6/24The Depot - Salt Lake City

I was enjoying a Blind Guardian concert. 3 days prior I was wearing a medical boot for a bone fracture in my foot. It wasn't healed enough for me to stand and enjoy the music appearantly. So I went to one side of the room to lean on a post, then a wall. A security person saw me favoring my leg and retrieved a chair, directing me to take the seat in an area that was marked off for guests to avoid. I got to enjoy the show so much better without the pain, so thank you.
