About

Erykah Badu, one of the world’s most revered singers, is widely credited as being the godmother of neo-soul. Badu’s blend of hip-hop swagger and smooth jazz draws inspiration from Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder and Chaka Khan, and has earned her a total of four Grammy nominations. Pitchfork described the four-time Grammy Award-winning artist’s 1997 debut album Baduizm as an “existential anchor of the neo-soul movement.” The triple-platinum album debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, and lead single “On & On” won the Grammy for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance at the 1998 Grammy Awards. Badu’s enduring legacy was cemented on the road, where she has sung to sold-out crowds on multiple worldwide tours. The R&B legend has released five critically-acclaimed studio albums, and has been featured on hit songs by Busta Rhymes, Macy Gray and Janelle Monáe.

  • Times A Wastin

by Hillside Hustler on 11/20/24Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San FranciscoRating: 3 out of 5

Love her music, but I wasn’t blown away by this concert. She took to the stage almost 2 hours after the doors opened. Performed a few songs. It was whatever. I left early

  • Great

by Anita on 11/20/24Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

Easy! It would also be nice to know what the preshow was going to be. I could not find that information anywhere. Erica didn’t show up until an hour and 45 minutes after start time which would be nice to know.

  • Erykah always puts on a great show!

by Ndeya on 11/20/24Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San FranciscoRating: 4 out of 5

Erykah always puts on a good show and she did not disappoint! The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because there was no opening act! The show was supposed to start at 8pm, but Erykah's portion did not start til 9:30pm. This makes it look like she was late, but I know she wasn't late! The main act never comes out at the time the show starts. I'm not sure why there was no opening act. How hard is it to get an opening act?

  • Couldn’t make it, but Badu is a queen

by BFay on 11/20/24Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San FranciscoRating: 3 out of 5

I tried to give my ticket away and transferred it to a friend but not sure if they even made it. I should have bought the damn insurance and I usually do. Erykah is the best and if you can handle her being 60-90 minutes late it will blow your mind. I’ve seen her twice and I took all my kids last time. She’s a legend and we are lucky to live on this planet at the same time as her

  • Amazing

by Shawty on 11/20/24Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

Its an out of body experience getting to see this living legend.

  • disappointed

by Whitt on 11/19/24Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San FranciscoRating: 1 out of 5

I paid $ 267 for my ticket .....we drove around for a while and finally found parking . we get into the venue and waited an hour and 1/2 to see the show...no opening act??? Then 1 hour only of the artist performing. This really sucked . I really want to be refunded at least half of my money back! I'm an avid concert goer and I can honestly say this was the worst concert i attended.

  • 2 hours late

by Cc on 11/19/24Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San FranciscoRating: 3 out of 5

She was 2 hours late and could have left the theatrics at home. She should have at least had an opening act to keep the crowd occupied or even a DJ to engage until she got there.

  • Phenomenonal

by LaTrisha on 11/19/24Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

Erykah Badu never disappoints. I love how I, as a #1 fan was able to get so close to her and experience all the love from her music, the crowd, and the atmosphere was energetic, safe and easily accessible. Thank you again for a beautiful fan experience. Can't wait to see her agin.

  • LATE START - AWESOME SHOW

by TARDY on 11/19/24Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San FranciscoRating: 4 out of 5

I LOVE TO SEE ERYKAH BADU BUT COMING OUT 1 HR AND 45 MIN AFTER THE DOORS OPEN IS CRAZY! WE COULD HAVE EASILY SHOWED UP AT 945 PM AND MISSED A GOOD PORTION OF THE SHOW IF SHE WAS ANYWHERE NEAR ON TIME...

  • Captivated 🤩

by C.brown on 11/19/24Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

One of the best shows I’ve ever experienced. “Highly recommend “ 💯✊🏾

  • Fun

by Bee on 11/19/24Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

Concert was lit and easy to get to from Bart! It was a whole vibe.

  • So fun!

by Drake on 11/19/24Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

It was an amazing experience, way more fun then I was expecting too. Produced extremely well, and her voice was amazing. She's funny and kinda cool weird which I wasn't expecting. If you do decide to go, make sure you know she will not be out on time. They had a nice preshow playlist so I didn't mind haha.

  • Waiting almost 2 hours is just unacceptable

by Blueone on 11/19/24Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San FranciscoRating: 2 out of 5

We waited 1 hour and 45 minutes for the concert to begin and she only performed for maybe 1 hour and 30 minutes. When introducing her band, some were provided very long solos, which took up alot of time. Her actual performance was good, but not amazing, given the wait. I would not attend another performance.

  • Truly an experience!!

by Mara2Wild on 11/19/24Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

After getting my luggage stolen in Oakland, experiencing Ms. Badu’s clear, strong, raw and emotional vocals, my anxiety was quelled. I was able to dance my stress out out my body and away to her smooth tunes. This was a beautiful show filled with many generations of people enjoying her catalog.

  • Not happy

by Leanna on 11/19/24Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San FranciscoRating: 1 out of 5

She came out 2hours and 15min late show was supposed to start @ 8pm started at 10:15 pm .. and @ 11pm they were starting to shut it down .. she is a great performer but we didn’t get our $$ worth we basically paid all that $$$ to listen to a DJ play music the club would’ve been cheaper !! If that’s what we wanted to do was listen to a DJ

  • Baaaaack in the daaaaay…

  • We had a time last Night

by Kaytmt on 11/19/24Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was outstanding, the band the background singers and the performance with the visual effects. All great.. Erykah was outstanding as usual.

  • Amazing

by Sonia on 11/19/24Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

Erykah is alway a vibe just speechless. Amazing performance!

  • Boring for longterm fans

by It me on 11/19/24Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San FranciscoRating: 3 out of 5

Probably my 12th time seeing Ms. Badu. Same old popular songs, no deep dive into her limited discography, same old geometric laser productions. When’s the new album?

  • Erykah badu

by E on 11/19/24Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was a wild ride! She rolled in two hours late, keeping us on the edge of our seats. I wish she had belted out more of her hits, but the freestyle moments were pure fire. Overall? Totally worth it—I loved every second!
