FROZEN, after melting hearts on Broadway, began its North American Tour in Hollywood in 2019, with the LA Daily News proclaiming, “It’s simply magical.” The production, complete with amazing special effects and spectacular sets and costumes, mesmerizes audiences of all ages. It features music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, as well as standout performances, including a showstopping rendition of “Let It Go” and Anna and Elsa’s emotional duet, “I Can’t Lose You,” a song written exclusively for the national tour.

  • Brillant

by Jan on 9/8/24San Jose Center for the Performing Arts - San JoseRating: 5 out of 5

Love the music, the light effects and the characters. The ushers were very helpful and chose to go the extra mile in making sure getting in went smoothly. The hardest part was ordering the tickets. With my slow internet, the program timed out and erased my order 3 times. How much harder would it have been if a person had special needs and was generally slow. Timing out should not happen.

  • Don’t go to Frozen without kids

by Jean on 9/6/24San Jose Center for the Performing Arts - San JoseRating: 1 out of 5

Too many little kids! People kept going in and out of the theater during the performance. We could only see half of the stage from our seats. We left at intermission.

  • Fantastic Frozen!

by Ma on 9/6/24San Jose Center for the Performing Arts - San JoseRating: 4 out of 5

Frozen was so well portrayed.... excellent cast and acting, singing, costumes, and sets. The special effects were out of this world. The sound was somewhat unclear and distorted at times; otherwise this would have been perfect.

  • Phenomenal!

by SharkChili on 9/5/24San Jose Center for the Performing Arts - San JoseRating: 5 out of 5

The stage was filled with exquisite settings that made me feel like I was really brought into Arendelle. The cast were exceptionally talented. They really brought the show to life with their dances, voices and a twist of humor from time to time. They did not make even a single mistake throughout the entire show even though it’s the second show of the day and very late at night. Highly recommended for audiences of all ages.

  • Amazing

by Michelle on 9/4/24San Jose Center for the Performing Arts - San JoseRating: 5 out of 5

It was amazing even all the little Elsa's and Anna's dressed in the audience singing along made it entertaining

  • Amazing Leads to Thaw Your Heart

by Frozen Lover on 9/4/24San Jose Center for the Performing Arts - San JoseRating: 4 out of 5

Everyone in this cast was amazing, from the leads to the ensemble. Each main character had their moment to shine, and while the younger audience members got restless when songs written specifically for the musical were sung, I liked that we got more insight into the characters than in the movie version. The show is a little clunky at times, but the ending is well executed and fulfilling in a very moving way.

  • Great show, mediocre venue

by DianeS on 9/4/24San Jose Center for the Performing Arts - San JoseRating: 5 out of 5

We took our granddaughter to see Frozen. We were not expecting much for us, but we loved the musical as much as she did! The staging is fantastic! The actors were wonderful and had Broadway caliber voices! I can't think of a negative about the show. The venue (San Jose Performing Arts Center) is a difficult venue, especially with children because the theatre has no center aisle, which means that if you have center orchestra seats, you have to walk over about 20 people to get to them. For shows with lots of active kids, this is difficult.

  • Worth it!!

by Toddler mom on 9/4/24San Jose Center for the Performing Arts - San JoseRating: 4 out of 5

It was so entertaining for myself and my 2 year old. Such talent. Everything was on point except the part where people were dancing with what looked like skin type suit. With leaves covering their privates. I don’t know why that was necessary. Other than that amazing. Great show.

  • Bravo!

by TMikk on 9/3/24San Jose Center for the Performing Arts - San JoseRating: 5 out of 5

One of the best performances I’ve attended at San Jose Performing Arts Center. The quality of acting, singing, staging, costuming and orchestra far exceeded expectations. Highly recommend. May look into attending a second showing in another city!

  • Wonderful musical

by Cookiejar on 9/3/24San Jose Center for the Performing Arts - San JoseRating: 5 out of 5

I saw a 15min musical of Frozen in Disneyland (or Disney Adventure Park, I don't quite remembered) and that prompted me to get tickets for this Broadway musical. Did not disappoint. Had a great time.
