  • A Kid's Dream Come True

by JJawz on 9/3/24San Jose Center for the Performing Arts - San JoseRating: 4 out of 5

Went to see Frozen in San Jose with my family, including my daughter. She was CAPTIVATED. There were a couple of moments where even the adults around us Ooohed and Aahd at quick changes, lighting, and the music. Surprised to hear that there were a few "crude"jokes thrown in, Disney suggests having people age 6 and up attend but honestly, there were some jokes about character's backsides that I'd say 10 or 11 year olds would think are funny but their parents wouldn't want them hearing it.

  • Awesome !!!

by holy roller on 9/3/24San Jose Center for the Performing Arts - San JoseRating: 5 out of 5

There was a small hiccup upon entry to this event. An issue with the scanners reading the bar codes on the digital tickets. Once that was resolved thing got better from there. San Jose performing arts center was the perfect place to watch Frozen. The show itself had amazing special effects. The cast was delightful. The acting and singing were captivating and the audience was treated to perfect telling of the story Frozen. I highly recommend this play to all ages.

  • Should have stuck to the songs in the movie

by RG on 9/3/24San Jose Center for the Performing Arts - San JoseRating: 2 out of 5

This was an expensive waste of time and money. In addition to all the songs from the movie, the play added a few more original songs that were all incredibly boring and unmemorable. Seriously, I can't remember the tune for a single one. The actress who played Anna had a horribly nasal voice that I think was intentional for some reason? My wife and I both fell asleep for parts of it and my daughter was bored and complained on the ride home that they "messed up"some of the original songs. Overall not worth seeing at all.

  • A Magical Experience, Slightly Marred by Latecomers

by Ellie on 9/3/24San Jose Center for the Performing Arts - San JoseRating: 4 out of 5

Frozen on Broadway was a truly enchanting experience. The performances were outstanding, and the music and visuals were breathtaking. The cast brought the beloved characters to life in a way that was both heartwarming and captivating. However, there was one significant drawback that slightly marred the experience. The venue seemed to have a lenient policy regarding people coming and going, which allowed people to enter the theater up to 30 minutes after the show had started. This constant stream of people was incredibly distracting and disrupted the immersive atmosphere. It's a shame that such a minor issue could detract from such a wonderful production. Despite this, I would highly recommend seeing Frozen on Broadway. The show is a must-see for fans of the film and anyone who appreciates a stunning musical. Just be sure to arrive early to avoid any potential disruptions.

  • Not to be missed

by Jamie4rmcali on 9/1/24San Jose Center for the Performing Arts - San JoseRating: 5 out of 5

From the opening scene to the last, there was never a dull moment. The “Let it go” performance was the best part of the whole play. Loved it. A must see. This one is not to missed.

  • The best show ever

by Bmiranda on 9/1/24San Jose Center for the Performing Arts - San JoseRating: 5 out of 5

Such a great show got all ages. Adjusted to modern days and humor. Loved everything: decorations, lights, actresses, every detail of this show. Bravo! I went with my two year old daughter and she was very happy!

  • Absolutely STUNNING show!

This show is just fabulous! ...highly recommend... two thumbs up! Sets were terrific, singing fantastic, could clearly hear the lyrics, gorgeous costumes, acting was amazing...the puppetry for Sven and Olaf was superb, and the special effects were absolutely incredible! Don't miss it!

  • Frozen the Musical was amazing! I highly recommend it!

by Tim on 8/30/24San Jose Center for the Performing Arts - San JoseRating: 5 out of 5

I had a great time seeing Frozen the Musical at the San Jose Center for the Performing Arts. The music was amazing, the pit orchestra was outstanding, they had great merchandise, and the play was spectacular. I highly recommend seeing the Broadway Musical version of Frozen. It is definitely worth it. And I was glad I got to see Frozen the Musical for the first time in forever.

  • Amazing!

by MusicFan on 8/28/24San Jose Center for the Performing Arts - San JoseRating: 5 out of 5

I had high expectations for Frozen. I have seen the California Adventure performance several times so had a benchmark for the Broadway San Jose production. They hit that mark for sure! I totally loved it. My only suggestion would be an encore reprise of Let It Go as a song-a- long with the audience participation. It was hard NOT to sing along with Elsa. I would love to see it again!

  • Wonderful Show! Loud audience.

by AKC on 8/28/24San Jose Center for the Performing Arts - San JoseRating: 4 out of 5

It was a wonderful show! My two children enjoyed their first theatre experience immensely. The only part of the experience that was not great was that the audience was quite loud. I think that many people disregarded the age request of 5/6 & up. There were several very young kiddos in the audience, which is ok - but the parents/grandparents were having entire conversations with them during the show instead of teaching them how to behave in a theatre environment. It was difficult at times to immerse into the show/amazing music because of all of the conversations continually going on around us. Perhaps have patrons review basic theatre etiquette before the show? Instead of discussing the amazing show during the show, my children and I discussed it during the intermission and afterwards. Overall - a truly wonderful production and I am so happy I was able to share it with my children.

  • Great experience for grandkids

by Cece on 8/28/24San Jose Center for the Performing Arts - San JoseRating: 4 out of 5

Ticketmaster ticketing was great. Email reminders, digital ticketing all good. Tried putting them in Apple wallet. Could not figure out if that was avail. Facility-sat middle mid way back. Good visibility, booster seats avail for kids. Bought tix well in advance. Outdoor bathroom facilities worked well. Lines monitored and moved quickly enough. Show-as expected. Only wow was Sven, previously seen as a puppet, like Olaf, in the 1 hour Disneyland show I had seen many times. Quick change on Elsa to ice dress a wow. Opening number of Act 2 was really out of place in my opinion. All the 6 and 8 year old got out of it was that the actors in the sauna were supposed to look naked. That entire scene should be eliminated. I liked that the forest ppl were humans, not rock creatures. Expectations not met that were missing: the summer song and dance routine. Elsa on stairs projecting forward towards the audience. The sleigh that looks like it flew. The wolves. All in all, the free with admission one hour Disneyland show was actually better. The special effects of the tour were video projections and maybe it could have snowed over the audience. Curious what features were missing from actual Broadway production.

  • It was good, grandkids loved it!

by Me on 8/27/24San Jose Center for the Performing Arts - San JoseRating: 4 out of 5

Great singers! Staging was tremendous. Lots of humor and some big surprises.

  • Thaws your heart

by AJ on 8/27/24San Jose Center for the Performing Arts - San JoseRating: 5 out of 5

Really good. Effects were used arch around the stage was cool. All the actors were strong! Projection and practical sets were very detailed. Lighting was impressive. Songs exclusively for stage adaptation was good addition. Overall, can’t “ let it go!”

  • Exciting & Entertaining

by Frozen Fans on 8/27/24San Jose Center for the Performing Arts - San JoseRating: 5 out of 5

The Frozen show was a great performance done by the entire cast. The clothes, the music, the incredible stage, the lights, the voices and as all magic. My family truly enjoyed it!

  • Frozen the Musical

by Uly on 8/26/24San Jose Center for the Performing Arts - San JoseRating: 5 out of 5

I really liked seeing the musical show. It is my first time seeing it like this. I really enjoyed seeing the performances as well as the set design. It was a great experience for me. And I would love to see another show like this again.

  • Captivating

by AMA on 8/26/24San Jose Center for the Performing Arts - San JoseRating: 5 out of 5

This musical was brilliant. I took my 6 year old granddaughter on opening night and it held her attention throughout the entire performance. The creativity and ingenuity of the creators was amazing from the orchestra to the scenery to set to the casting and to the performance. This was well worth the money we paid for our tickets and I would pay to see this again.

  • Magical

by Ang on 8/26/24San Jose Center for the Performing Arts - San JoseRating: 5 out of 5

I took my four year old. She loved the show. Everyone was kind. The venue was spacious. And I was surprised how magical I found it as an adult who works in theater.

  • It was sooooo fun!

by J Haenni on 8/26/24San Jose Center for the Performing Arts - San JoseRating: 5 out of 5

The broadway production of Frozen was everything I hoped it would be and much more, loved the subtle adult humor sprinkled throughout the show, and when Let it Go was performed I got tears in my eyes because of how neat the effects were including when her dress “changed” to the beautiful sparkly blue one and how fabulous it was sung by the actor.

  • ***AMAZING!!!***
