Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Jill Scott has long been number one to fans of neo soul, but it wasn’t until her fourth album, 2011’s The Light of the Sun, that she attained the No. 1 Billboard position to match. From the breakbeat of lead single “Shame (feat. Eve & The A Group)” to the laid-back groove of “Golden,” the album showcases her signature blend of soulful vocals and spoken word. Originally discovered by Questlove of The Roots during a live poetry reading, Scott would go on to release three studio albums – and earn three Grammys – in the 2000s, including Best Urban/Alternative performance for 2005 hit “Cross My Mind.” On tour in 2013, ticket buyers have been loving her commanding vocal performances and the throwback style of her live band.

She did a great job! Jill is my fave and she sounded fantastic! I just wished she would have sang Crown Royal!! Lol one of my faves!! I loved how she went into Opera mode a bit as well! Very talented!!!
Not worth the price paid. Jill is great singer coll to listen to her live but after 30 mins I was ready to go.

Show started hella late but nonetheless she was amazing and the mic was on!!! These artists gotta respect ppl time!!

Great night of music performed by Jill Scott. She performed her entire first album plus a few of her hits...Nothing on the planet like a live band... I have seen Jill 7 times now. Always excited for her performance.. She sounds as great now as the first time I ever heard her live!!!! When she sings He Loves Me... the house goes crazy!!! Please keep coming too Chicago... WE LOVE YOU JILL..
Jill Scott always put on such a fantastic show, but why is she always late. The ticket said 07:00 p.m. and she did not come on until 08:30 pm. Then the show ended at about 10:15 or so. Really? The last time I saw her in Nashville she was about 2 hours late but she gave us a good extended show. The deejay was horrible because he was playing music that was not even in her genre. I'm sure no one wanted to listen to rap or house music after paying to see Jill Scott and it went on and on forever. Then there was a so called comedian (he was special) and I'll leave it at that. Both acts was so unorganized and not well received. I can't even say that I got what I paid for because I feel like I got the short end of the stick, not at all what I paid 200.00 for.
