  • Epic

    by Subsonic1 on 3/3/25Baltimore Soundstage - BaltimoreRating: 5 out of 5

Kris embodies everything about hip hop music that is right. He has music to incite, to provoke thought to laugh and cry. Additionally his stage presence needs to be no theatrics to convey the message, but only need the imagery of it audience to personify his delivery. Those who like rap, have a culture responsibility to familiarize yourself with his music. It will bring us all together…peace

KRS1 is a master hip-hop artist; always and forever!! He’s timeless and consistently excellent. His show was a walk thru rap history and I loved every minute!!

He is a great performer. The local opening act were good too. It is great to see KRS-One is giving local talent a chance.

  • Blast master KRS1

by BklynGrease on 3/2/25Baltimore Soundstage - BaltimoreRating: 5 out of 5

Great show high energy so many classics so little time. Honestly, they could have scrapped the opening acts and gave that extra time to KRS1

  • Old School Hip Hop

by Kelley H. on 7/13/24Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre - MabletonRating: 5 out of 5

The show was great! KRS ONE never disappoints. The sound system at Mablehouse was terrible! They really need to get that together because it can ruin shows!

  • Supreme Lyricists

by Serena M on 7/10/24Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre - MabletonRating: 4 out of 5

Perfect sized venue. Great view from any seat. The lineup was a good mix of groups who all had memorable hits. It was great to hear real lyricists perform and the freestyles were an added bonus. The headliners, Kool Moe Dee, Big Daddy Kane, and KRS-One had a more polished show/presentation than some of the other acts, but Nice and Smooth really did a great job coming into the audience and moving the crowd. It was a high energy and fun concert that did a great job bringing old school hip hop back to the masses. The only reason I couldn’t go the full 5 stars is because there were no female MCs in the lineup, which seemed like a missed opportunity to me. Although, I was late and missed the first 15 minutes, so maybe I’m wrong. When I came in I could hear Dana Dane from the parking lot, but I don’t know who came before him.

  • Venue wasn’t prepared

by Johnny on 7/10/24Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre - MabletonRating: 3 out of 5

Paid for parking and the gate was locked. So I had to go through mud to park. The gates were late opening and we had to ask for trash bags to be put out. You need more folks working these events and advanced preparation.

  • great Artists

by old school on 7/9/24Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre - MabletonRating: 4 out of 5

the venue was good, and the artists were outstanding, especially Big Daddy Kane & KRS! the sponsorship/advertisement was TOO MUCH! this lawyer guy had his image up on both sides of the stage the entire time and then in center stage during all of the artists performances; it truly detracted from the performances and the concert as a whole. The "sound technician(s)"could have done a better job as well; I don't think an artist's voice should ever be "lost"in the music or their mic so low that you can't hear the lyrics. I still enjoyed the concert but I will never call the "super layer"for anything, his ego is out of hand! I only rated the show this high because of the artists & their performances.
