Amazing show. She played most songs off of Night time my time and the crowd was crazy. So much fun!

About
Citing Gwen Stefani, Madonna, The Runaways and Nancy Sinatra as influences, singer and songwriter Sky Ferreira combines them all into her dancey up-tempo pop music with catchy hooks, electronic production and rock flourishes. Her full-length debut studio album Night Time, My Time was released in October 2013 with the single “You’re Not the One,” and she is set to support Miley Cyrus on her worldwide 2014 Bangerz Tour with Icona Pop. Ferreira played for ticket buyers in the U.K. in early 2013, as well as headlining her own U.S. tour with the likes of High Highs, How to Dress Well, and Smith Westerns, and opening concerts for Vampire Weekend. She signed with Parlophone Records in July 2009 and put out the singles “17,” “Obsession” and “One” in 2010. She released her first EP, As If!, in March 2011 on Capitol Records featuring the single “Sex Rules.” Her second EP, Ghost, was released in October 2012 with the synthy dance-pop single “Everything Is Embarrassing,” which was lauded as one of 2012’s best songs.

great show
by flan888 on 11/14/13Webster Hall - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5both sky and smith westerns were awesome. sounded even better live and excellent stage presence
Sky was amazing.
by LoveRissy on 11/14/13Webster Hall - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5I love Webster Hall. It is easy to get to from Penn Station. I got there three hours early. The ticket didn't say that Sky would be on at 10. I had to wait for over three hours. Smith Westerns were amazing. I would see them in concert again. I would deff see Sky again.
Sky Ferreira was not good...
by C2mekamalle on 11/14/13Webster Hall - New YorkRating: 1 out of 5She connected with the first row of ppl filming her w their phones, which was a clever social move. But that's it. She more whispered than sang, sometimes I blame the sound quality but that was probably to be kind to her... Extremely disappointed of the difference of her live compared to recordings.
Sky Ferreira was a hot mess
by futangclan on 11/14/13Webster Hall - New YorkRating: 1 out of 5As my friend put it, there are three things needed for a decent performance: 1. Remember your lyrics, 2. Stay on time, and 3. Hit your notes. Sky Ferreira did none of those things. She noticeably read off lyric sheets, came in on at least a few songs early, and was off-key all night. I love her music, so I'll just chalk up this show to nervousness, intoxication, and bad vocal chords. I hope Sky has it together the next time she's in town.
Painful Train Wreck!
by ConcertPlainJane on 10/31/13The El Rey Theater - Los AngelesRating: 1 out of 5Like a train wreck that kept happening over and over and you just can't look away. This show had to be the most painful concert experience I have ever been through. I personally like Sky Ferreira, I have been to every LA show she has done in the last 2 years, so I know that Sky has the capability to put on a great show. But this was not it. First she came out all jittery, she bumped in the mic stand a few times causing the cord to came out, she spilled her drink all over her set list and begged "don't let me die" because she thought she was going to get electrocuted. All that I could let slide, except once she started singing it turned worst. She sounded like bad karaoke, man it was so painful. I felt bad. A few people in my section left after a few songs it was that bad. People keep saying she was wearing sunglasses in tribute to Lou Reed dying that day, but it wasn't, if you look at videos of her performances prior to that she was already wearing the shades, maybe she was trying to hide her jittery eyes, I don't know. Also, I know you are singing a tribute to Lou Reed, but if you don't know the lyrics why bother? She brought a paper on stage with the lyrics and was singing as she read them. I just thought that felt fake. If you love Lou Reed so much, why not pick a song you know? That was weird to me. Her die-hard fans are going to say the show was good, because they love her no matter how bad a performance she puts on. But they are lying to themselves, because she was horrible. I actually left thinking "wow, I'm never paying money to see her again". The only good part was she came after the show to meet her fans, I think she did that as damage control more than anything. I hope Sky gets her act together, when she said she was going to sing her album in its entirety I was so excited, that is, until she actually started singing. Please Sky get it together! If you haven't healed yet, save your voice and reschedule, I'd rather wait then sit through something like that again.
Sky Ferreira was awesome!
by Thegreatdavinsky1 on 10/30/13El Rey Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5Awesome show! Sky was great as always, and even stayed afterwards to sign stuff and take some pictures with the fans. The venue was pretty good as well, you were pretty close to the stage anywhere you stood.
A Very Disappointed Sky Ferreira fan
by QWK999R on 10/30/13El Rey Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 1 out of 5I'm a big fan having followed Sky and her music the past 3-4 years, purchased your CDs and iTunes downloads, and attended your all you live shows in Los Angeles. Most deviously your show at the Bootleg Theatre which was well produced, looked and sound great. And of course, I was at your El Ray show this past Sunday 27th Nov. But that show was just so bad, the worst paid concert I had ever attended in my many years for a number of reasons, I was forced to walk out in the middle of the show in disgust, and did other attendees. Please take this as constructive criticism from both a fan of yours and a music industry professional, and hopefully return to what we liked about you. 1). BAD SOUND SETUP _ The sound system setup was so bad, way too much bass and distortion, no clear vocals, hardly any word you or the opening band sang, could be understood. It was essentially just pure noise and not at all enjoyable to listen to. I'v attended so many great sounding music shows in the past at the El Ray with Grace Potter, The Pretty Reckless, Delta Rae, etc - that i dad to stop on the way out and voice my concerns over the your show's bad sound mix to the club manager. He told me that you had requested to do you own sound, with your own people, and the club and no control over it. 2). LOOKED BAD - You did not look attractive with the short cropped hair, wearing sunglasses the entire show, jeans. For a beautiful young model who we want to look at, you've destroyed half your marketing image - your beautiful looks. We need to see your beautiful face and long hair, cute body in a dress. 3). ALL SMOKE / NO SKY - Most of the show you were totally hidden in the artificial smoke and could not be seen at all. Way too much. At the recent Bootleg Theatre show the smoke was much less and more controlled so you could be seen the entire concert, and the light show was much better. 4). ALL SCREAMING VOCALS & BAD NEW SONGS - Your singing and your new songs that started off the first half of the show was terrible. You never really sang, just screamed the lines. There was never any melody, just noise. And the new songs she started off the show with like "Fuck you Boyss" (? - it was really difficult to hear any of the vocals all night) just repeated the same line for the entire song. Worse than rap. That is not good song writing. She finally got to one of you wonderful hits around song 5 on the set list but it was barely recognizable amid your screaming it, the terrible accompaniment and the terrible sound setup. Skt have a great talent, beauty and so much potential. But your latest concert performance at the El Ray kicked all that to the curb. I hope she can bring it all back with the beautiful girl singing the beautiful pop rock ballads that attracted me to you in the first place. Best regards, a lost Sky fan.
Sky
by Mariami on 10/30/13El Rey Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 4 out of 5This girl has amazing stage presence, she sings well and obviously has a good team of people around her. The stage lighting and fog and her style and energy made the show. Honestly Im not sure how much I enjoy the overall sound of her band in contrast to how much I enjoy her voice and disposition. As far as the venue goes, It was fairly easy to see the stage from the elevated side steps of the general admission are. The first band didn't quite tickle my taste but everyone has to start somewhere. So glad Sky covered Sunday Morning in memory of Lou Reed! and so glad she apologized for sucking at it! She seems very genuine and this makes her extremely likable.
Finally...Night Time, My Time
by Ibnerdsunite on 10/30/13El Rey Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 4 out of 5This was my second time seeing Sky live in L.A. (the first time was in April at The Bootleg theatre). She seems to have recovered well from her recent vocal injury, and having now listened to Night Time, My Time in full, I can say that the songs (which are awesome on the album) sound even better live. The attitude Sky brings to her performances really makes her songs come to life. I've been a fan of her for years now (I think since 2008/2009), and it's great to finally see her getting the recognition she deserves. She is truly a talented and unique artist. Nobody else is really making the kind of music she's making (an edgy fusion of electro-pop and grungy rock). She's seemingly too "pop" to be "indie", but too "indie" to be "pop". Despite this, it is clear that she does have a place in the music scene (and that she's earned it). You can tell that Sky is finally happy with the album she has released, and she seemed excited as she sang her way through all of the songs on her debut album. There were some minor hiccups (she spilled her tea multiple times and messed up one or two songs), but she handled them well and was adorably self-deprecating throughout the show. After admitting that she wears sunglasses on stage because of her nervousness, she invited the audience to put on theirs in honor of Lou Reed, and the song that followed this invitation ended with her in tears (she seems to be very sensitive). For me, I Blame Myself, Heavy Metal Heart, Boys, You're Not the One, and One (an older song) were highlights. The crowd also loved Everything Is Embarrassing and even cheered as she had to start it over after messing up (we all welcomed a chance to hear more of the song/Sky). I've met her before (outside of a concert setting), and she is super sweet (I know she stayed after to meet fans after this show- so you should be able to meet her if you want to). Overall, the show was fantastic and Sky sounded great. I'm really excited to see where she goes in the future, and I'm sure I'll continue to be a fan for life. Can't wait to see her again soon!

Wow! I have seen her live before and she's not the most coordinated nor is she very extroverted but wow was this last show the worst thing I have ever witnessed! It was more of a comedy show than a gig! She didn't even know the words to her own songs!!! She had a paper with her lyrics out the whole time! She wasn't really singing! She was just a mess! And trust me I really enjoyed her last time and I thought her awkwardness made her awesome but this was just a joke!

Sky is seriously incredible. She sang her whole album and then some extra songs and she stayed after to take pictures with everyone. It was the best night
Sky High
by GagaGlitz on 3/23/13Music Hall of Williamsburg - BrooklynRating: 5 out of 5Everything about this night was easy and fun. The ID checker/ticket taker/coat check lady/bartenders were all so friendly and quick. The restrooms were clean and the drinks were cheap (and shockingly BIG!) Most wonderful of all, though, was SKY. She's such a talented songwriter and her voice is the definition of sexy cool. Her sweet demeanor between songs set against her wristful/emotional/sensual performing made the show so much better than than I expected! It was an intimate atmosphere with a star in our company. AHH how fabulous!!!
The "Sky" had fallen!
by DBNY on 3/22/13Bowery Ballroom - New YorkRating: 2 out of 5Poor Sky was doomed from the minute she opened her mouth. She began her show with a heartfelt apology for being sick and for the poor condition of her voice. The audience seemed to appreciate her acknowledgment with cheers of support. Unfortunately her progressively more awkward and impersonal apologies only further exposed her complete lack of confidence. The cloud of smoke and dark lighting which obstructed our view of her didn't help. When she announced about half way through her set she was ending her show, I felt relieved. No one cheered for an encore. We were happy she threw in the towel and ended the torture we endured while watching someone with obvious talent suffer from a case of overwhelming embarrassment.
sky is great live
by radi0head on 12/1/12Mercury Lounge - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5great show, sky's voice is incredible and her band was great too. cant wait for the album to come out. only complaint was that the mercury lounge had no coat check that night for some unknown reason... a sold out show ina tiny venue in nyc when the "feels like" temp is in the 20's... needs a coat check. c'mon.
