  • The Pride Wind Ensemble Orchestra !

by Rob on 2/26/25Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft LauderdaleRating: 4 out of 5

So proud seeing these young men and women performing with dignity and professionalism. In the future, I think it would be a great idea to have some known pieces for the audience to respond to. Perhaps a pop piece. movie theme or a standard form the American Songbook. But I must say they did play very difficult pieces with ease ! CONGRATS !

  • Wonderful Night of Music & Laughs

by Fidel G on 11/12/24Amaturo Theater at Broward Center - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

I wasn’t sure how the evening would go so I was pleasantly surprised by the perfection of balance between music and comedy, the Pride Band and Lea DeLaria, and jazz from respective repertoires and periods. Kudos to everyone.

  • May the Fourth Be With You

by Dave on 5/8/24Amaturo Theater at Broward Center - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

The band was outstanding and I love the selection of music from John Williams. And there was even a performance during intermission! The conductor had so much personality that I wished he had been the host. Happy to support the band and look forward to attending more concerts.

  • Sensational Concert

by Diana on 5/7/24Amaturo Theater at Broward Center - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

We absolutely loved the South Florida Pride Band’s May the Fourth Be With You concert. Incredible band playing Williams’s top hits and Pandora Boxx was hysterical and really kept the mood fun.

  • Talented musicians

by zee on 5/7/24Amaturo Theater at Broward Center - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was in a perfect venue. The orchestra sound was fantastic and accurate, seeing as how they were all volunteers. I wasn't crazy about the drag queen doing long introductions. THe conductor had a great sense of humor and appeared on stage in different customs relating to the upcoming music. The orchestra was a true "BEST FIND"and needs more attention in the gay media. Truly entertaining and professional.

  • HUGE fun

love john williams music and SFPCB did a wonderful job in playing it...loved the accompanying clips and conductor gags...not so enchanted by the host, pandora boxx...wish she had done a bit more prep....

  • Loved the music but a drag queen?? Really!!!

by Dennisstj on 5/7/24Amaturo Theater at Broward Center - Ft LauderdaleRating: 3 out of 5

The choice of music to salute the amazing John Williams and the talent of the Band itself made for a delightful evening as always. The guest violinist was so very talented and music from Schindler’s List so close to Holocaust Remembrance Day was inspired. That said the drag queen emcee added nothing to the program but an hour of annoyance. If I want to see a drag queen there is an ample supply on Wilton Drive. The Band on the other hand is a unique and valuable gift to our community!
