  • Good show. Glad I went

by Tim on 11/24/22Penn's Peak - Jim ThorpeRating: 4 out of 5

The audio was perfect and the technique to bring Emerson and Lake into the show while Palmer was on the drums was pretty cool. I never saw EL&P back in the 70's / 80's so I'm glad I got to see this show.

  • ELP 50th 5star

by .drifter on 11/24/22Penn's Peak - Jim ThorpeRating: 5 out of 5

Carl Palmer playing along with his late band members brought back excellent memories of their past concerts. Nothing beats the original sounds. Yes the two new musicians were very good but seeing Carl Palmer's enthusiasm of playing with Emerson and Lake again is unmatchable. This was the first concert of its kind and I wish other musicians would try it out instead of trying to recreate the music. I would definitely return for another show.

  • Thank you Carl!

by Selfie on 11/23/22Penn's Peak - Jim ThorpeRating: 5 out of 5

This show was awesome. Carl did so much to honor Greg and Keith. The technology he used worked great. And I can't believe Carl can still drum like that! Awesome show!

  • ELP welcome back my friends

by Tom on 11/23/22Penn's Peak - Jim ThorpeRating: 5 out of 5

The musicianship of Carl Palmer , guitarist and bassist ( Chapman stick ) was top notch. Carl engaged his audience with beautiful stories of the ELP trio. 7 songs played utilized high definition screens which blended pre recorded parts that Greg Lake and Keith Emerson performed. The concert was from the 90’s at the Royal Albert Hall. Carl’s timing as he blended in was stellar. I’ve seen many concerts in my lifetime. For some reason I never saw ELP. This was bittersweet. And, I hope Carl will do this again.

  • ELP/Like We Were Younger Again

by NY Giant Fan on 11/23/22Penn's Peak - Jim ThorpeRating: 5 out of 5

Carl Palmer came up with a great concept to recreate a wonderful memory of attending an Emerson, Lake and Palmer concert which my husband and I did many times. The videos selected were high quality and brought back the essence of the great musicians (and how we miss them). The two men who played with Carl were very talented and did an excellent job to accompany him and the music they played together. Carl was emotional as he spoke to the audience and made us feel that we shared a very special experience. Thank you for a wonderful night.

  • ELP is alive

by rockdoctor on 11/23/22Penn's Peak - Jim ThorpeRating: 5 out of 5

It was my 5th Cal Palmer solo concert. Everytime he and his musicians (Paul and Simon) play differently. Carl played with Keith and Greg on the screen. I never had a chance to see ELP while Keith and Greg were still alive. If they were not dead and if I went to the ELP concert, it would be the same as this one because I would have heard the sound from the speakers anyway. So I had a feeling of being at ELP concert. Carl, Paul and Simon don't come to to meet and greet after the show since the pandemic which I really miss. They sell lots of signed memorabilia items instead.

  • Husband loved it

by Cc on 11/23/22Penn's Peak - Jim ThorpeRating: 4 out of 5

I never really listened to them but my husband is a big fan and he loved the show. To my surprise I also enjoyed it.

  • Wow, what a show!!!

by Kurt on 11/23/22Penn's Peak - Jim ThorpeRating: 5 out of 5

I have seen Carl Palmer’s ELP Legacy play before, and they were fantastic, but I wasn’t sure what to expect with this new format. It was amazing!! If you’re an ELP fan at all, you need to see this! To be able to see Keith and Greg again, and have Carl and the guys play right along with them was something I’ll never forget. What a fantastic experience!!!

  • Excellent experience

by Dave J on 11/23/22Penn's Peak - Jim ThorpeRating: 5 out of 5

Going to the show I was skeptical because of the whole hologram idea. When we arrived Carl Palmer came out and said that holograms would not do the band justice so they had videos of shows and he played the drum tracks along with the videos. He also had two incredible musicians playing other songs from his repertoire. Great show with great ticket prices.

  • Interesting and fun

by Glad I went on 11/23/22Penn's Peak - Jim ThorpeRating: 4 out of 5

The show was presented very well. The live group was excellent instrumentally, but the vocals were lacking. Well worth the low price for the tickets.

  • Welcome Back My Friends, Look At Me I'm Carl Palmer

    by keithastockton@gmail.com on 11/23/22Penn's Peak - Jim ThorpeRating: 1 out of 5

Complete mess - less than 50% video tribute to Emerson & Lake. In the end, it was sad -- an old guy drumming along like a video game. Keep your memories intact and avoid.

  • ELP Reunites

by Karen J. on 11/23/22Penn's Peak - Jim ThorpeRating: 5 out of 5

Excellent ELP Reunion concert at Penn’s Peak. Carl Palmer is a fantastic drummer and was great as ever on the drums. The 2 musicians with Carl were extraordinary too. They filled the spots for the deceased Keith Emerson & Greg Lake. But for about 1/2 of the songs, Keith and Greg were performing on the big screen on the stage with Carl playing along on his drums on the actual stage and sometimes the 2 musicians played as well while Keith & Greg were on the screen. So ELP was actually reunited. The video clips of Keith & Greg were ELP playing at Royal Albert Hall back in the 1980’s.

  • Sound terrible

by Michael J on 11/23/22Penn's Peak - Jim ThorpeRating: 1 out of 5

whoever did the sound ruined the show. it was just too loud and not properly mixed.

  • Beyond expectations!!

by Karen on 11/23/22Penn's Peak - Jim ThorpeRating: 5 out of 5

This was an amazing show. Carl Palmer did not disappoint! The tickets were a gift for my husband, he’s a huge fan, and I appreciate the music. The show was beyond what I expected and I loved every moment of it. Seeing the footage from past concerts, it almost felt like they were all together. Carl’s drum solos were full of energy and power. The venue was perfect. It felt like a private show! My husband couldn’t stop smiling throughout the entire concert!

  • Amazing!!

by Ann on 11/23/22Penn's Peak - Jim ThorpeRating: 5 out of 5

For a true ELP, it was an overwhelming experience! Saw the show twice…sound was perfect. The venue was great.
