I flew from Italy to the Coronado Theater in Rockford to see Jon Anderson! It was worth it! What a night and what a concert! Jon was absolutely fantastic, his voice sounds great and he is supported by a very good band (and also Matt Beck, the “new” guitarist is so good)! He opened the concert with “Close to the Edge” (wow!!), and I liked “Awaken” too, but when he played “Once Upon a Dream” from True I had tears in my eyes!! Every song was a joy to my ears and I thank Jon to exist and still going on to sing: he’s the real and only Yes. I’ve seen him many times in Europe and in the States and I hope he will come to Europe and Italy soon! It was a pity the very, very beautiful theater was not sold out, and I’d like to give you a piece of advice: if you have a chance, please go to see him! Thanks Jon, thanks Coronado Theater!
I have been a fan of Yes for years It was a good show but they could dug a little deeper into their catalog for some more not so often heard songs. I didn't need to hear Roundabout I can hear it on an elevator these days
The Coronado theater was one of the greatest venues I have ever been in! The architecture in the lobby at the stage, etc., was fun to look at and explore. Jon and the band geeks sounded great and this is my fourth time having seen Jon Anderson perform yes songs. The last three concerts were amazing, but I would like the set list to be altered. It is roughly the same concert each time. My three favorite songs from yes are close to the edge, the revealing science of God and don’t go. I will keep seeing his concerts for as long as he tours, but my only “complaint“ is that I would like to hear some songs from a few other albums like magnification and the ladder. If you are a fan of Yes, you will not be disappointed!
Jon Anderson, at 80 years old, sounded so good, his voice was as clear and pure and strong as it's ever been. The Band was exceptional! They were all as pleased and grateful to be there as we were! Yes +
Tremendous show! Great epic Yes songs (Awaken, CTTE, Star Ship Trooper, etc.) plus great new tunes from the True album. Musicianship was tremendous! All players had mastered the material and Jon was so good and the entire band just had this positive vibe. They appeared happy to play for the audience. 5 Start show!
Perfect concert. Perfect venue. Jon Anderson has not lost his voice in any way. I could've been back in the '70's as he sounded so good. His band of Geeks was tight and it was a wonderful evening spent with fellow rockers that danced and cheered. I hope I am half of what he is at 81. Rock on, Jon! Still doing it after all these years.
If you like Yes and Jon you're in for a treat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Unbelievable concert! The venue was incredible and intimate. Jon Anderson, at 80 years old, sounded great too…And You and I, Awaken, and Starship Troopers blew me away, and I loved the new album’s songs too.
Despite the cramped seating the show was wonderful. Jon;s voice was amazing. They skipped two songs from the published playlist(maybe Jon was tired).
