Fun festival, great artists/line-up. Felt overly crowded though at times, especially when going in between stages or areas; pathways seemed too narrow for the crowd size. Still enjoyed myself a lot!
The food and drink (including non-alcoholic) are getting excessive. You're not permitted to bring in outside food, but a chicken burger from an 'evenko' (non-restaurant) booth is $16 and flat enough to fit under a door. The number of people waiting in line for water was unbelievable, including watching people faint because the line was over an hour long. There also seems to be an issue with people being rude, constantly holding up fans or other objects, blocking people's view, and being upset when asked to stop. Security, despite being notified, did not intervene. The crowds seem to get bigger every year but the size of the grounds don't seem to get much bigger, which makes it uncomfortable to get around often. The acts were great, if not occasionally booked for the wrong stage/time, but improves year after year.
Had a fantastic time!!! They had these platforms for short folks to stand on (I’m 5’1”) and it drastically improved my experience because I could be close(ish) to the stage/in the crowd without being surrounded by a bunch of tall people, and I could SEE the stage! The food was excellent with vegan and vegetarian options (shoutout to the cute person at the poke stand), and the water sprayers (whatever you would call them) were necessary for cooling down on such a hot day. Great performances (Chappell Roan was 12/10), fun merch, and overall amazing vibes. I had a fantastic time and would absolutely go again!
Great Music Line Up, well organized event, security and EMS were outstanding given the heat this year. Lines for bathrooms were not long which was great. The cooling station was very nice to walk through but should have had another one. The lines for food were multiple hours wait, not nearly enough vendors to feed people. The line for the water refill stations were also ridiculously long in the heat. Alcohol was super easy to get with vendors walking around. We would definitely go back.
Such a fabulous lineup and great venue, but it was way oversold, especially the Saturday. Lines for everything - to get in, for water, for food - took well over an hour. They also could've used way more medic tents because people were passing out due to the heat and they only had 1 or 2 for the whole venue. More quick-serve food options would be better and more places to fill up water bottles.
It was very nice except for the fact of meteorological conditions stopping the shows when there wasn’t even a drop of rain, and the room for the crowd during the headliner was crazy no room at all, maybe more tickets were sold? Overall it was super fun seeing all these artists in mtl definitely going again:)
We got tickets for the three days and everything was awesome. The locations of the different stages, bathrooms, water stations, bars, and food were all convenient. The only complaint I have is that wait times for water and food on Saturday were extremely long, but I’m guessing it was the busiest day.
Crowds and heat were too much. The lack of water stations and shaded sitting areas was disappointing. There needs to be better access to water, non-alcoholic drinks, and food in comparison to the number of bars for safety. Music was great though!
I was super excited for Osheaga this year, a lot of artists I wanted to see. I was really disappointed with the cancelation of Ayra Starr, the interruption of Raye when she just started her set, and to have Tyla be at the little stage in the back when we all know she's one of the big ones. And the sound of Tyla's set was awful and not because of her voice (she was amazing). I was also a little frustrated when they closed everything (food and bar) when there was no lightning and no rain. I was positively surprise for Burt's bee kiosk, and the frozen palm tree drinks with Bacardi!
