Felix is great at fronting THE RASCALS .. while his voice has aged some his style is rock solid .., he's still great & he’s included his granddaughter who’s voice is perfect for their songs. all 8 band members were superb .. including Cornish who plays seated….no big deal ,god bless him for still being able to do it & them all for still being able to handle a high energy happy rock music setlist for hours on stage . The food & quick service at Sony hall were great go there early like when the doors open if you’re going to have dinner there…I recommend that you do, the food is great and the portions are large …loved the Korean chicken wings about 8 big 1’s they serve a la carte but also have pice fix 3 course menu choices. It’s just west of times square on w. 46th in the theater district ..I had such a great night I would do it again tonight if it was available..people in the back were up & dancing …will def be back to see more dinner shows at SONY HALL & keep an eye out for where & when THE RASCALS are playing in the future..
A great performance. The music took me back to the 60's & 70's. Such a carefree happy time in my life!
The Rascals sang a lot of cover songs which is fine. When they sang their hits, they sounded so different from The Originals which is always a disappointment for me. Plus Gene Cornish had to be assisted onto the stage and sit. He only played the guitar half the time.. periodically someone would come out and help him stand and then sit back down again. I Googled and learned how he has a major heart condition. Maybe at age 79, it's time for him to retire. All in all, the show was about average for me.
The Rascals played great. Many memories brought back. Love Those shows.
Once again Felix and Glen with their band put on a great show - so many timeless songs and a brilliant atmosphere
Go see the Rascals! Felix is incredible and they have a fantastic bunch of musicians in the band!
The Rascals concert was one of the best by far to appear in Ocean City, NJ. The songs from their past were performed reminiscent of when there was unity and togetherness in our country. Felix Cavaliere’s voice is still amazing, blasting through all their hits. Also, the band and background vocals were tight? not to mention a well done lead vocal of “How can I be Sure” sung by their bass player. (Don’t know his name) Also, as the concert was closing to a standing ovation, I noticed much of the audience had left their seats and made their way toward the stage. This is rarely scene at the OC Music Pier, and is a testament to The Rascals wonderful performance. This was by far one of the best concerts I attended here in OC, for long time. PS - Felix is very personable and signed autographs from the stage after the show.
Very disappointed in paying top dollar n having last row While 8 rows in front were empty Sound was not great Also there should sell at least water in there
I really liked this concert by The Rascals. Felix Cavaliere can still sing at age 80! His voice is fine and the soulfulness comes through in every song. Besides their memorable hits, what was a nice touch was the way they would segue into other R & B songs in medleys. One example was (I think) when Felix started talking about the group singing songs about love and then went into "A Girl Like You"then into "My Girl"followed by "Just my Imagination."The band did this more than once singing "Land of a Thousand Dances,""It's Only Rock and Roll,""Get Ready""Ain't too Proud to Beg"and "In the Midnight Hour."I also liked the way Felix talked about how he and the band reacted to the killings of MLK and Kennedy and how they felt about the Ukraine before they broke into "People Got to Be Free,."The Rascals are as relevant as ever. The only negative about the show was that the sound at the old Ocean City Music Pier was not that clear. But, so what? See them.
Had a great time at the Rascals concert at Ocean City Music Pier. That being said they are aging and some of the song they had to labor thru, but I'd say they still pit on a good show and I'll see them again.
Great show. They sounded great. I had forgotten how many his they had.
fantastic sound, excellent performances. was great to hear Felix, sounds the same! accompanying musicians were excellent. bergenpac is a convenient location and perfect size. not a bad seat in the house.
Veteran Hall of Famers Felix Cavaliere and Gene Cornish played all of their hits. Great show!
Entertainer's, these guys are musical professionals and still talented-the delivery of old stories they spoke of compared to the challenges of today was good, would’ve like to see the horn section and drummer on taller riser’s from the third row very difficult to see, would have loved to see female backup singers in psychedelic outfits grooving just like in the old days, would have added to their classic love songs, rascals music can go broadway and in High School plays, their music will last forever
Got the crowd involved. Fun concert keep theses Concerts coming
They were entertaining, but to short..........less then 90minutes
Perfect venue for a classic group. Music was exciting and vocals strong. Great interaction with the crowd.
Saw the Rascals at the Wind Creek Event Center. The show was very energetic and included all the hits save a few. Felix’s voice still sounds great and Gene entertains along the way, most notably when you hear the opening harmonica of Groovin. If you liked the Young Rascals you’ll love the Old Rascals
Very enjoyable concert. Granted Felix does not have the vocal ability he once did (how many 80yr old singers do?), yet he did a fine job bringing back the memories. Wonderful horns added greatly. I did feel bad for Gene Cornish as his health limited his participation, but he stated late in the show that he was thoroughly enjoying himself.
